aint it funny how a thread about mp3s could spark comments about family situations...as it happens my dad left when i was 3 and only saw him once in a blue moon until i was 14ish then was a bit more regular ended up moving in with him when i was 18 and the rest is ancient history thumbs

Given the thread I'm continuing a theme here and nothing else.
I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm unusual in that I still have both parents. Among my friends I'm the only one with both parents living; plus I still have a single grandparent from each side as well. As those who know me will know I have two boys, both fully grown now, a young daughter (there has been the occasional pic on here) and two grandchildren.

I class myself as very fortunate to still have both parents and am glad that my kids have been able to know their grandparents and great-grandparents. It has helped my Dad stay young (he taught both to ride bikes) and kept him out of my Mams way  thumbs   Shocked   Large families have their own problems, as with everything, but overall I have been lucky in having a large family around me while I was growing up and still having most of it now for the kids to experience, in all its forms  thumbs   Shockedthumbs
