Enslaved In A Building

Recommended Posts

This one seemed to go on a while, and it felt a bit like being in a movie, but not entirely scripted or anything. The dream began inside a multi-floored building on the ground floor. I was with one other person who I think was a female, although I really can't remember anything about her. There was another person with us as well - a man.

There was something going on in this building that the man was opposed to. In a way, it wasn't any specific activity. It was as if all the residents met with his disapproval - like, in a moral way. This man was going to take over this building and rule it.

Now, the process of taking this building over never really happened in the dream. In a flash, it had been completed and the dream moved on to the post-conflict phase. The residents who remained were slaves to this man, and I and the girl were also under his rule. He resided on one of the upper floors and kept close watch on everyone, day-in and day-out, like with cameras. The inside of this building now had this post-battle look to it - lots of areas were run-down and destroyed. The people were living in makeshift shelters where there used to be rooms...almost like rats, actually.

The man began a run through the building to purge it of those who remained. He either rode inside a large robotic thing, or he controlled it with a remote. Either way, this mechanical thing was rampaging through the floors of this building, looking for anything living that it could destroy.

The girl and I raced to avoid this machine. At times, we were among the survivors, and at other time we were alone. Even when we were with them, we weren't a part of them. At one point, we were able to avoid being seen by heading through some back stairwell while the machine attacked some survivors.

I don't believe we ever made it out of this building in the dream, but it did end with us getting closer to our goal.

I'm not actively trying to leave anything, but I do desire to leave my current job (although it's not THAT bad) for something closer to home.

Honestly, it's hard for me to line this one up with anything in my waking life. Most of my dreams are about work and family, and the dreams usually take place in those settings. This is one of those rare (for me) "epic" dreams that is so out of the ordinary.

Strangely enough I had dreams of running last night, only I was hiding in agriculture... corn fields, under pine trees.

When I woke up I thought... "Uh oh, when I run from something it's a fear for my health." Not that that means there will actually be something wrong with me, it's just me panicking about it.

Mark,

This dream combined with my dream was a real learning experience for me. I've had running dreams before and have counselled many people who have had running dreams but I've never had a running dream where I've actually hidden. Both you and I did in the same week. And the outcome is monumental for me in helping people. I believe God gave these two dreams to us at the same time to teach us something.

When we safely hide in dreams, even without the outcome being manifest in the dreams, the outcome is that our fears (what the dream is actually about) will not be realized.

It turned out that I was hiding under pine trees and in lush, beautifully full rows of onion plants because I was terribly worried about my vegetable garden - which I am happy to report is now doing beautifully. The onions and the pinetree both symbolized companion planting - which is supposed to help plants repel disease and pests.

Running in my dream was about the health of my plants. Running in your dream was about the health of something else. In both cases, in spite of not seeing the end, our dreams are telling us we will be good. We found hiding places and were never caught. The dreams are about our feelings of anxiety about the situations.

Miss you too! How you been? I am still fighting the crud but getting better. Work is finally calming down so that opens more time to be online.

Love in Jesus,

Connie

I've been good. Lots of good changes going on. I'm going to be ministering full-time now. YAY! Pruned alot of branches which opens up a lot of online time for me too. I've been working on the website. I need to find someone who can design a wordpress site so if you could pray for that, that would be GREAT!

Glad you're feeling better. I started to get a tiny hint of a tickle in my throat and blasted it with Vitamin C. My dad got it bad but I nipped it in the bud.
