My mother's dream about my brothers...

Recommended Posts

My mother dreamt that she was waking up in the morning thinking it was Sunday and she needed to get ready for church. She heard voices in the living room and got up to see that my brothers had come in the house, but the door was still chained. She was thinking it was impossible for them to have entered the house, but there they were. Then she sees a school bus drive by out the window and realizes it is Monday morning, not Sunday and she has missed getting to work.

Anyone have any ideas that I could relay to her?

Is your mother waiting on your brothers to come to the Lord or return to the Lord in any way?

Yes, this has been her prayer for years now, as well as mine. They both accepted the Lord when they were kids, but have lived lukewarm lives, I guess you'd say, as adults.

Okay. These are my thoughts here...

I think this is an encouraging dream and that this dream is first about your mother's heart. I think the chained door represents your mother's perspective on your brothers returning to the Lord. It may seem to her that this is almost impossible, but the fact that they were inside despite the door being chained is God saying that it is not impossible.

Your mom thinking it was Sunday (Sunday representing relationship with the Lord or returning to the Lord), but then realizing it was Monday may be God saying to her not too let this matter consume her to where she is missing out on everyday things. I think the school bus represents that this is a time of learning either for her or your brothers or both.

In essence, I believe the Lord is saying to your mom that nothing is impossible with Him. He knows her heart and has heard her prayers. Don't worry too much. This is for learning or training purposes.
