Hi BG, keep up your fluid intake and flush those bugs out!

Mmm, what to do?

1. consider how much money you could sell the car for in its current condition -v- how much you owe on the outstanding payments

2. consider how much it will cost to fix, and whether or not its going to be worth doing, or, is something else likely to happen to it - in which case it'd be throwing good money after bad

3. look into re-financing...
like Dawn, I don't know about how it works over there, but here, for people on very low incomes, social services can sometimes organise 'crisis loans' to help tide people over bad times.

Kijo, do you think it's worth repairing this car? or would you be better off selling it for what you can get for it?

(once you decide that, then we have to work out how you afford what you need to do)

It's just a cold, I think that the things you have to go through now are much much worse...

even if I sell it for what its worth...... not running I could only get 500 dollars prolly.

the kelly blue book for my car running is 1500 dollars.
(have a 99 toyota corolla....)

So I would still end up owing way too much money....... I am thinking the ONLY choice I have is to fix it. That just puts me out of any money I would have extra for the next month and a half, and seeing the specialist is out the window.

Lol, I usually do too, but now it's all scratchy... like I smoked a lot or something... when I have a cold, I usually speak through my nose (not sure if that makes sense?)

Did you get a fixed price to mend it? Is it less than $1000?

How about your employer? would they advance a loan and take payments out of your wages? (give you a bit longer to spread the cost) or the garage would they take a payment plan?

(am just wracking my brains for useful ideas, or at least to rule out ideas)

I like it when... how to explain this, when you're getting better. First days I sound really bad, you can't hear the difference between b's and d's anymore, but when I get better after, I like my voice, probably because my ears have been stuffed for days or something : D. Now I try to avoid talking (hard when you're me) because of the scratchiness.

LOL!!!
I like this smiley (just glared at them)

Aaaw I bet she's getting really excited now.

I had a note from Novia, who is a fabulous support to the Gift Registry, she says her account's very cash rich and I'm to let her know if anyone wants something they can't afford, as she would absolutely LOVE to help out

Thanks Boogs, I have trouble getting to your page, as I always start to type Boogie in the search box Laughing

Wish, for some reason it always seems to say that all your eggs are gone, it's bizarre.

Chup posted one for me, but that was also a duplicate (he's Rainy Island Boy at the moment btw)

ok i just now made it home.

Gill to answer your questions gonna cost a LEAST 2 Gs to fix it.

I do not think there are any loan places that can help me out.

My job doesnt do cash advances (i work for indians.....)

the shop wont make payment plans with me, but they might b able to work with me over like a month or something.... I need to talk to them about it later.

Aaagh, fabulous Frannie, what a nice satisfying feeling Smile

Thanks for trying Boogs, despite claiming both, it only let me have one off you and it was a duplicate too.
Hideeni really hates me

EDIT

Whoot, I just found the gold egg - Marie had posted earlier (Cogsy)
