Bike security

Recommended Posts

Hi just wondering if anyone has used one of them alarmed disc locks on their bikes? I am planning on using it aswell as a chain to secure my bike over winter in a shed. Any other ideas how to keep it as secure as possible?

Yer was thinking ground anchor Dave, should be able to make one up at work. Only problem is that i have built the shed and put carpet tiles down so bit late to concrete one in now lol.

Thanks dave, it has a thick wood floor. Thinking about it could concrete one in behind and run chain through a small hole.

I got a metre length of RSJ , got an engineer to cut a hole in the middle with Gas just big enough to thread a chain through it , I then concreted this in the ground with various strips of metal in the concrete as well.

Also got a alarmed disc lock going through it which should then hopefully awaken this.

which will then awaken this.

I just got a personal rape type alarm from fleebay for £3, just attatched to the wall and door, when you open the door too far it goes off right in your ear, (I know this coz i keep forgetting about it) frightens the hell outta you and its cheap.

Expect some substantial compensation claims from the T leafs

the Space shuttle taking off only reaches 170 DBa
250 would probably demolish buildings and/or kill you

If you have electric where you keep the bike, hide a baby alarm so you can hear the scrotes breaking in to nick your bike.
Don't forget to remove their teeth and prints before you bury them.........
