Is this one reason that the Western servers are separate in Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta the Japanese servers? It's a little bit of both. The reason we place it on another server for the U.S. launch was to restrain the rolling from their stories and also due to host capacity. The simplicity of play is one of the selling points of the game, and also the distance of the servers to the players influences latency, so we knew we wanted to have the servers closer to our players from North America. And even though there are hardcore lovers [who will play regularly and explore all the articles ] in the North American area, there are still many who aren't knowledgeable about the franchise, and we did not believe it would be fair to launch eight decades' worth of content at once. Did that make a lot of work for your development group?
It was not a lot of work, but the team was amazed by how amazing the enhancements made the game look.
