Hi need help

hi guys i recently found minecraft and really like it, amazingly the first 1 i joined was all in the mined and turned out to be really friendly and respectful but i have few troublesome questions.

1. why is the server always down
2. what is this cached version and how does it work?
3. i just wanna play!!!!!!!

first of all, welcome

some days ago the URL suddenly changed

make sure you are connecting to http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?server=d0bb295ce84b812e5b1452c60bc51164

server is almost always up

when it says something bout cached, always just press cached, then the minecraft.net serverlist is down, this is the ONLY way you can play when serverlist is down

on the home page it says the server is still online but i cant get on!??!! heres the error.....

Minecraft.net returned incomplete server details.

Missing: Server IP, Server Port, Passcode

Retry====Cached====Quit

thats wat keeps coming up
