Rrtaya_tsamsiyu 0 Posted May 9, 2012 I have a way to cross long distances in just a few seconds, using the nether. (incase someone wants to know.)Some basic knowledge about the nether.A simple way to think about the nether is it being another map below the regular map that you start out on.But the scale is a 1:8 ratio between the two worlds. In other words, moving 1 block in the overworld will move you 8 blocks in the Nether. In order to use the nether for long distance travel, look at this pic: build portal 1, then 2.Then, go into portal 2, looking towards your house. When you enter the nether, you will still face your house. Then walk forwards until you find the portal leading to your house, marking a path between portals. Using a map in the nether is advised, considering its easy to get lost.I'v cut 15 minute boat rides to 45 seconds of running using this, so its a very nice way to get around (if you dont mind being ghast target practise every now and then)......and thats what i post waiting for classic to come back online. Frogger409 0 Posted May 9, 2012 Walking<Boat<RidingPig<Wormhole<RidingDragonWhen I need to go long distance, I go to the end, put a saddle on the end dragon, jump back through the end portal riding on the dragon, tunnel out of the stronghold using the dragon's powers, and then proceed to fly onwards. You guys should save your saddles It's pretty useful.
