Don't waste your money on more expensive stoves as they all cook at the same rate (At the moment anyway)You can distract the extra customers with arcade machines! Theywill play and then leave the restaurant without decreasing yourpopularity points - Submitted by oumsker (discovered by Bodhi)Apart from the arcade machine, the other deco items are currentlynot interactive so spend your money wisely on items that you need -Submitted by nicachanxdThink twice before buying an item because although they may becheap (such as windows), don't get them yet if you have your eye onsomething more pricey. Just save up since how you decorate therestaurant does not affect the number of customers or your popularity -Submitted by mochinez23TIPS TO LEVEL UP QUICKLYFocus on leveling on ONE type of starter, main and dessert. Beopen to trading so you can collect items required to level up yourchosen specific meals. You will get more gourmet points when customersorder dishes of greater level - Submitted by VanityArrange your tables in this manner; where everyone is seated close to the cooks so the waiters do not have to waste time walkingDue to my preference of the seating arrangement above, I would add two or three tables for each cook I have. At the moment, I have 4 cooks, 2 waiters and 10 tables. You will have to make your own judgment by adjusting the number of tables, seating arrangement but as a rough guide:With 1 cook, 1 waiter = 3 tablesWith 2 cooks, 1 waiter = 6 tablesWith 3 cooks, 1 waiter = 8 tablesWith 4 cooks, 2 waiters = 10 tablesGo to the trading forum and try trading for ingredients and items that you want!If possible, try to find someone who wishes to level up dishescompletely different from yours (of which require different ingredientsto yours) so you can trade and help each other to advance!Want to tell your friends the items you need? Use your restaurantname to leave a message such as "Need Leeks and Potatoes". It's asimple, clever and effective way of saying what you want! - Submittedby CstixCan't decide whether to bar the door or leave your restaurant runwhile you sleep? Just let it run anyway (after you've logged out ofcourse). Read Useful Tip #5 to find out why!Adding "temporary" friends may help you get more ingredients butplease be aware that Facebook will shut your account down if you addtoo many friends within a short period of time. Please read this. - Contributed by NickieTo delay the customers' journey to their tables, create a barrierby arranging dividers or any deco items from the doorway leadingtowards the dining area. This will allow more time for the waiters toclear the tables - Submitted by Faww</blockquote>NOTE: A number of people seem to be confused whether the tipsare referring to the inside view (where you can see your employeesworking) or the outside view (where you can see your own restaurantfrom the outside) so I've clarified it by stating either [Inside your restaurant] or [Outside your restaurant] ... which should be pretty straight-forward (information taken from playfish forum http://forum.playfish.com/showthread.php?t=524942)

Platinvm 0 Posted March 29, 2009 Hey, some of these tips are pretty good...even for me...hehe... Now I should be able to level up even faster =) Also to note, if you're more interested in leveling up than making a lot of profit...you should keep your workers no lower than 80%...once they hit 80% feed them water...this will keep everyone happy and (if your tables are arreanged in a good way) you should easily be able to keep your rep between 46 - 50.0 =)

Platinvm 0 Posted March 30, 2009 Great tips...and yes, that last configuration is so far the best I've seen...if you implement it with the "80% refresh rule" then you'll have close to 50 rep points at all time and a constant flow of customers, points, and money... I think in an "average hour" I was making around 950$ =)
