No sun here.
Had non-stop rain for a week.
lots of streets closed,
most celebrations cancelled,
area near us evacuated.

This is our Summer, and up in Queensland
that means HOT or HOT AND WET. Tropics!

Its all good.

Lazy day off work with pay (public holiday)
BBQ out on the deck watching the storms,
plenty of shed time with the bikes.

Just glad that no one had died yet unlike
last years nightmare!

Home again safe.

The two companys I work for,
Traffic management and earthworks are both
shut down untill monday at least.

Few roads closed, but its still raining hard,
folk told not to drive unless they have too.

Our rain isnt like UK rain,
I lived in the UK for 40 years.
Here 100mm in an hour or two isnt unusual,
and to get it several days running isnt either.

I love this country but jeeez,
when something is on, its FULL ON !

One day its factor 30+ and sunburn,
the next your soaked through !
