  1. Looks like everyone already did great recaps, and I'm a little late to the party so I'll just post a few of my pics. I had a big bald mean security dude station himself directly in my line of sight of David all night so my pics are mostly all from the chest up. Still, David from the chest up is a lovely sight!

Nice pics I am glad i have the same camera. To bad the vids when I was moved not so hot. Must have been in front of a speaker

  2. omg I typed a really long recap and then somehow got logged out. And lost it all. Tantrum I've never had that happen before. Shit. What a bad time for it.

Anyway, I had a great time once I finally got there. After my epic journey, following the journey of course to the concert that didn't happen in December, I was only there for 12 hours. 2 hours at the beginning and 2 at the end of which I was napping. So I didn't get to meet everyone I wanted to, and didn't get enough time with the people I did get some time with, but I'm just glad to have gotten the time I did.

David looked friggen' amazing. I love his new hair, and the outfit, but that wasn't it - he was... glowing. He does that sometimes. He really was glowing last night. He seemed so relaxed and so happy to be there... having the time of his life (no pun intended, LOL!) My only complaint about the show (other than nasty security) was that it was too short. I mean, it always seems too short because you always want to hear him sing forever and ever. But this show was nearly $70 for the front sections, and there was no opening act, and David has been working out enough that he should have the stamina to sing more than 11 songs now. But mostly I'm just glad I got to hear those 11 songs, and Carly's - that was cool.

Tons of videos of the songs are up, so no need to recap that, but I thought I'd give my personal perspective on one of the banters. First, a little background. By a minor miracle, I ended up in the front row section C with my new friend (a friend's traveling companion). Next to us were these 2 attractive, young (early 20s), skantily-clad girls. They were very cute, giggly, and jiggly. The nearer one had long blond hair and was wearing a paper-thin satin halter top that made it crystal clear that she was not wearing a bra, and it was a little cold. They both had bare legs and mini-skirts that I swear were shorter than David's fanbase. David kept checking them out the whole night. He couldn't take his eyes off them.

Anyway, there was this banter he started, where he said there were some familiar faces in the audience but he wondered if any were there seeing him for the first time. Well the half-naked blond started pointing at the half-naked brunette and David, like, RAN over to them to banter directly with them. The banter was funny - likening the way the one pointed at the other like she was calling her out for farting or something, but to me, the funniest thing was how he came running over like a puppy the moment he had an excuse to talk to them. I wonder if he got their numbers after the show, lol.

So I was REALLY happy to get to hear Make Believe live, even if he did totally mess up the lyrics at the beginning of the second verse, lol. And NEW SONG! NEW SONG! NEW SONG! I liked it, but I need to listen another half dozen times for me to make a more solid opinion. Wish there had been at least one song without a guitar but I fear the days of him not hiding his body behind one the entire shows are gone for good. Goodbye, David's body, and mic/micstand action - I miss you!

Pictures to follow in a sec...
LOL if they would have let us stay up there. Dave's wouldn't had to have seen that. LOL

I have a question about something, but I need a PM from someone who was either there the other night or knows what happened. I have been asked a question regarding Andrew but I would prefer a pm if anyone would care to answer my question. If not, that's okay, I said I would try and find out.

    Thanks in advance. Hi!
Andrew was heard being rude and not wanting to drink with fans anymore. That what several peeps over heard but give him the benefit of the doubt. My understanding is some fans didn't know when to walk away and allow others the chances to talk to him and the guys. They just stayed were they were and won't go away.

Thanks for sharing your recap & pictures! Can I use one of them for my avi on here? LOL

    Sure! I'd be honored. Smile

    Me too? Pretty please?

Of course! Just not the one I already took for myself, lol.

Though I might change mine later when Barbs puts her pics up. She's got a shot of David but I was up front clapping over my head (Declaration, probably), so it's like he's framed between my arms, which is just kinda cool. Smile
Stacy glad you got to stay up front and enjoy. Even if you had to hide from security lol

Think I'm going to get a shower and roam around. Have to get Tami at the airport later. Got a cute red VW bug, too. Squeeee!

I think it depends on the venue no matter what the artist may want. In both Perry and Davie there was no moving up to the stage and we were front row both places. Then again both were pretty high and if you could, you would not be able to see very well.

Also at Sunfest it was a high big stage and they had security keep people back from it. We had front row there too but at the very end of the row and chose to go back to our middle 8th row seats as we were blocked by too much stage equipment and it all worked out fine.

I passed up the front row seats I saw on ebay yesterday morning row 1 sec B seats 7&8 even tho at $224 not too bad a mark up because I would rather be back a little and more towards center.

From looking at youtube videos it does look like a big stage but also looks like there could be a lot of places that would be hard to see the stage from. There looks to be big side screens too like in VB!

No matter what I am so excited to go!! It is not only about the show but meeting up with everyone again! It is also my friend Nancy's birthday so that will be fun! Plus a big outlet mall nearby makes me very happy!! Nothing better than days spent shopping and a night seeing a DC&TR concert! Great
LOL those seats are right next to the two I have. All I know is they always say no. Then Dave says yes and all of a sudden it happens. So I am glad I am in the front row.

I wasn't at Perry but Davie they did. Not all the way up but I saw people in the second row and a few others get up front and those on the side got to move over. However, I can only go by all the Casino shows. Dave has done in the end of the tour Elizabeth was the only one you couldn't move up because there was no room too. Other wise every other Casino show the front got to move up to barrier. Don't see that changing. Dave hates that 15 foot buffer and sense the barrier is so high. I don't see the venue caring. From that Video that person was the E section because it was pass the stage. I like that it is so open so the B and E aren't bad at all

  8. I got section B row 1, seats 13-14!!! Pretty far over on Andy's side, but still first row and I am not complaining!! So excited to see David again!!
I really believe front row will get to be front of the stage. That is the way he has done all of his last Casino shows. He like people close. Elizabeth didn't have the open space but every other Casino show people have gotten to go up to the stage. I bet David will tell them that is what he wants but that won't happen until he is there. I have a front row ticket So I am thrilled

We need to check flights on a weekday as they usually are less than booking on a weekend! Fingers Crossed!!!

ETA~I just spoke to the box office and they had no clue yet as to which venue area, as they have more than one or ticket prices! I guess we will have to check back during the week.
You going to the show. No one can go but me looking to share a room?

  10. David should have gotten an grammy nod.

Lambert's For Your Entertainment debuts at #3 with first-week sales of 198,000. This surpasses Kris Allen's Kris Allen, which opened at #11 last week with first-week sales of 80,000. This marks the first time that the debut album by the Idol first runner-up has gotten off to a faster start than the debut album by the winner since 2003, when Clay Aiken's Measure Of A Man started with sales of 613,000, compared to a 417,000 start for Ruben Studdard's Soulful.
While Lambert's total is impressive, it falls short of the 280,000 start that greeted David Cook's David Cook in November 2008. Cook received only a fraction of the media hype that Lambert has gotten, but he has quietly sold a lot of albums. David Cook is up to 1,257,000. I expect Cook to be in the running for a Grammy for Best New Artist when the nominations for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards are announced tonight. (If you missed my column previewing the nominations, here's a link.)
Another Idol alum makes big news this week. Carrie Underwood this week surpasses Kelly Clarkson as the Idol alum who has sold the most total albums. Underwood has sold 10,539,000 albums, to 10,428,000 for Clarkson. The rest of the all-time top five Idol alums are Daughtry, which has sold 5,356,000 albums; Clay Aiken (4,910,000); and Ruben Studdard (2,532,000).
