Ey up Chris. Good to see someone else from Steel City on here

It's gonna be my first Simmer Dim. Iv'e been up the west coast of Scotland a few times and acroos the top but this will be a little further. Been fancying it for a while but always been somewhere else or not been able to get the time off. Looks like a good "old school" rally.

Something old...

I would have thought direct from Hagon would be the best price.
I've got Hagon progressives on the front and nitros on the back. Very happy with them.
Their after sales service is excellent too. -
As an alternative....
I gunned up a small square of concrete in the garage, dug down about a foot then set an iron bar in the floor about 6" down then set this in concrete. I left the hole large enough to get a chain around the bar but so that with the wheel over the top, the bar is inaccessible.
I know of some people who just set a chain in concrete but then you can't take it with you if you need it. -
My season never really stops. I could give a lot of bull about being "hardcore" but the truth is the only transport I have is my bikes so I have no choice.
However, the first rally of the year for me is the Frozen Nuts next weekend http://www.dmrc.co.uk/index.html
Long Johns and 4 season bag at the ready -

Been after one for a while and it came up at the right price and in great condition. I think they look that little bit more "retro" that later 1300's. -

Nice one. My first rally this year is the Frozen Nuts in early Feb. Usually do most of the MAG rallies but I gotta miss the Farmyard this year cos I'm off up to the Shetlands for the Simmer Dim -

Hi everyone. Cheers to Hutch for the invite to the forum.
I hail from Sheffield in the republic of South Yorkshire.
I'm a member of MAG,the NABD and the XJR owners club.
I ride an XJR1300, an XJR 1200 and a GT550 (but not at the same time ) and ride all year round.
I spend a lot of my spare time camping and attending rallies - as much as my beer funds will allow anyway and love live music, mostly loud.
That's enough waffle about me for now. Looking forward to chatting to some new folks here and maybe seeing some of you on the road sometime.
Cheers all
