Hi Allsmiles,
The question that comes to my mind is why have you associated this dream with the question of whether to stay with your current boyfriend?
Was there something in this dream that connects you to him?
The part where you say that your mum talked you into buying the perfume, but you're not sure, and you wonder if you'll get buyer's remorse...
Has someone been talking you into or telling you should do something in your daily life, and you're not sure if you want that for yourself? Sometimes, mothers in dreams can represent the church or your church. Do you feel obliged to do a certain thing a certain way, but really you think you may regret that?
I'm not getting an interpretation from God, so this is just thoughts that came to my mind as I read.
Chiaroscuro is the juxtaposition of light and dark, which is a curious symbol to me. (Boy you sure do have fancy dreams ;-) ) Is that a style of art you like, or does that specifically speak to you? Or is that just part of the big picture in creating something that speaks to you of beauty?

Hi Leelee,
Firstly, I don't believe that God predestines us to be married to any person, so you can relax about that one. Phew.
I've had a similar type things happen where I've dreamt I've married someone, been engaged to them etc. Sometimes, we dream prolifically about a subject because we're thinking so much about it in our waking hours.
I also don't believe this was God either. It just doesn't fit with any experience I've had with God over many many (many) years. Sometimes our mind can play tricks on us and we can feel responsible or feel guilt for things that have nothing to do with us. In fact, sometimes we can think about a person so much that it becomes an idol for us, and the best thing we can do is hand them over to God completely, and not think about them, and NOT pray for them. Say to God 'this person is your responsibility now and I'm handing it over to you, and if you want someone to pray for them, you'll have to get someone else to do it'. This is the best way I've experienced being able to get someone out of my sphere.
This is a start, but I believe if you start with these small steps, i.e. stop thinking about this person during the day, and stop praying for them, and reprent of making an idol out of them, I believe the dreams will start to lessen.
Hope that helps.
P.S. I know it could sound harsh, and if that's the last thing YOU want to do, you're probably quietly freaking out right now, but trust me, been there done that, bought the t-shirt.
