  1. I FINALLY finished "The Lost Symbol" last week. Yesterday I got David Archuleta's new memoir, "Chords of Strength" and just finished it about 20 minutes ago. I really enjoyed it and I think it gives it a good look into his character. I love that kid. My next quest is William Young's "The Shack."
  2. I'm a little late to this party, but HAPPY TWO YEARS, everybody!!! It's been one hell of a ride, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I attribute my discovery of David to 24. I never ever ever watch TV except for 24. So had I never started watching it, then the year of the Writer's Strike when 24 wasn't on, I wouldn't have turned to American Idol "just for shits and giggles." Oh sure, I might have discovered David on the radio later on, but then I wouldn't have all those memories of Season 7, staying up on AI.com until the middle of the night after he won, moving to the Word Nerd Home, and following the tour all summer long. I will never forget some of these moments. They really helped to define that year for me. I still love and miss Season 7 something fierce, and I know there will never be another finale like that ever again on television.
  3. Thanks! I've been a busy bee for the last 9 months and haven't been following David as closely as I used to, so hopefully I'll be spending more time here over the summer!
  4. Mary Jane Watson, if I had to pick. Indoor or outdoor pool?
  5. Yes, if the guy I've been dating for the last 6 years counts. He is my very best friend. Have you watched American Idol at all this year, aside from David's JJF performance?
  6. I rarely post here these days, but I just had to jump in on the Idol nostalgia! I will never forget that finale, and my mom listening to Simon's critique after TWIK and saying, "Well, that's it. Archuleta is gonna win." And I will never forget smirking and saying, "Nope. I'm not worried about this one at all." Nothing will ever make me believe that Simon wasn't trying to light a fire under us that night.
  7. Shine on, Adam. You will never be forgotten.
  8. Congrats on your win last night, cookie!!! METS WIN TODAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! This might be the only time this season I get to gloat at Yankees fans, so I'll take what I can get!
  9. WOOOOOOOOOO, IT'S THAT TIME AGAINNNNNNNNNNN!!! (I haven't been posting on these boards at ALL in recent months, but this is the best thread on the entire site, so I'll probably be on here more often again!) My friend offered me seats to the Opening Day game in April, but I have to work and can't take the day off. UGGGHHHHHHH. Oh well, I guess it's not like this game would be following a season where they actually, I don't know, PLAYED WELL or anything.
  10. LMAO!!! No, I would surely get this reaction if I tried - Have you ever sat at your laptop for 5 minutes trying to come up with a good question for this thread? (inspired by something that just happened to me)
  11. Yes, part of it. I watched through Stevie Wonder's performance, and then checked in for the last 15 minutes. Do you like your job?
  12. I've had it for awhile now, haven't read it yet though. Hopefully if I EVER finish The Lost Symbol, I'll crack into that one next. I start school again on Monday though, so all hope for free time is basically out the window in 48 hours.
