Guest Guest Posted May 31, 2011 Would be a lot cheaper if you sourced the parts and fitted them yourself... they wanted £200 per disc on mine.. I can buy a lovely set of wavies for that!

Guest Guest Posted June 1, 2011 There is mixed press about wavys, never had a problem myself.I rang Yamaha about replacement R1 discs and there were £203 each. Each. If I get a brand new set of wavies off ebay (proper ones from decent seller) it's £150 plus postage. If I get them from a breakers they want £80 posted. If I get a Stealth set to match my back (sorry Lee) then it's £70 each if I send them the middles. Only got an advisory and I didn't notice it juddering so won't bother til it needs it. Bikes off the road (again!) anyway.Personally, I'd shop about and fit them myself, it's not hard. I'd prob buy another set of calipers too off ebay. My mate did this when his went, cheaper to replace than repair.
