Ok.. Here it goes.. On TOF i constantly see posts like: "i've been scammed. i'm gonna quit ps once and for all"

I mean seriously... You are quiting a game you love because of something that has nothing to do with the game itself anyway!!! I mean trading now is a part of ps BUT not the game... It was not meant for the game to do trades nad become rich and and and!!! In ps you are supposed to work to make money! NOT trades... SO why quit the game for something that has nothing to do with the game! If you want stop trading! NOT playing...


And now... something i just remembered! People are really becoming greedy and trying eeeeevery way to get free items... At start on TOF some people said for missing items or accidently sold or being scammed.. So some angels tried to help y sending something back... SOme times the item, others another and some times maybe even a 4999 to replace or buy back the item... Now some people that noticed that started to post things like that just to maybe get a free item! The have empty houses or later on even asking for the item... Also the increasing of these post is tremendous!!! But (!) NONE has the selling thread or looking like the could even afford the item in the first place! Yes, some are true indeed! But anymore most of these posts is just a new way to "secret" begging-scamming... It's annoying!

I used to be active there,on TOF,and one person added me with a note: Pet Society

I confirmed and then:
Please give your piggy
Please give me your 2008 rares,I have nothing in my house!

And later,I saw in one thread that the same person posted his/her rooms full of stuff!
I mean come on!!!! Begging is sooo annoying!

That's why I am selective about who I gift things to. If people ask, then I generally find a reason not to. But, I do read the 'I regret not having such and such' threads. People don't expect the stuff, but if I have it, then I will gift it.

I have never seen so many gracious people as I have seen in this forum. There is absolutely no reason for me to go to TOF. I have all I need right here with you lovely people.

I was banned from anotherr PS forum, but I realized afterwards that my life was so chocked full of stress there, that I was making myself sick. Being here is a lot better for my health, and even my husband noticed that I am not a stress fest waiting to happen here. I'm having a great time here, and everyone's been so kind.

I still have my membership at TOF, but I never go back there, not even to lurk.

People get banned for many reasons, sometimes they are private reasons, or simply because the management didnt like them

I do feel though that surely if people want you to know why they were banned they would of told you, so maybe its better not to ask? Past is the past after all

We always try to keep it light hearted here, with no accusations being thrown around, which is a major fault I have with TOF, people spread rumours and they escelate until someone gets wrongly banned

I got banned because I had `multiple accounts`
the second account was my brothers,but they didn`t let me explain!

So what do I need to do for not to be banned? Buy 2 computers? I`m sorry PAYFISH,but we CAN`T AFFORD THAT!!!

A lot of people have that problem, then see the same ip address and assume you have multiple accounts

That's so true, unfortuately. i still go on TOF every now and then, but i feel really uncomfortable there..... i don't know why, but they are all so greedy and without good manners.... Anyway i've read a lot of thread like those too, and i'm sorry to say that i never gave anithing to them; i've been scammed sometimes too, but i didn't ask for people to give me what others had stolen! Furthermore there is always the doubt they want just moe things, like Lucky Strike said! I prefer making gifts to people that are not begging for them!

I think that the one thing that people need to realize with forums is they are run by human beings with human flaws and imperfections. I know from having done my share of moderating that it is a thankless job. This is why I have a paper trail of forums that I joined and then quit for one reason or another. I have been dealing with forums for close to a decade (Has it been that long?) and I have encountered just about everything with them (and then some).

I try not to judge them, but if I don't like the way things are at them, then I eventually lose interest and leave, all quiet like. This is probably the best forum I have ever frequented so no worries of me jumping ship.

I think that discussing the how's and why's of someone getting banned from a forum only leaves the door open for people to judge that individual and that's really unfair. So, it is for that reason, that I refuse to discuss what happened to me. I'd rather just leave it in the past and move on.

i went out for hlf an hour and coming back to see what hsppen i read all these... it makes me happy the fact that i'm a mod but most importantly(!!!!) a MEMBER of a forum like that... Ihave beeen to other forums and boards but this is one of the best! (if not the best). better quality of people... there's is noone here that i don't like.. only people that i talk more or less...

i have never been banned but i hate to see that some people after or before a ban usually crusify(!) someone and most of the times WITHOUT a reason!!!

I love the fact that there is no beggars here.. I hate when people come and say "i want this i want that" OR using tricks...
And I hate being afraid to trade with someone...

A go to TOF mostly to read the topics.. I'm not very (if not at all) active there but sometimes it's fun to watch!
