My deck, 500 feet in the air.360 degree view of the city. The Seattle waterfront, Pike's Place Market, Lake Union. And beyond, the Cascades, the Olympics, Mount Rainier. My city loves me. They come to celebrate New Year's when we light off fireworks. They come for Bite of Seattle to taste foods of all kinds. They come for Bumbershoot and relish the diversity of our city's culture, art and music. And sometimes they come for an evening of romance.An elevator ride to my revolving restaurant. Sparkling eyes and anticipation. This might be the night he pops the question... Never mind the rain, the clouds of grey—I'll still be here with my Legacy Light shining, a beacon for all to see.
