  1. Wow I too, haven't been on the Home in a long time. But I do remember Jody's posts, and I am very saddened to hear about her passing. Cancer truly does suck, and she was so strong and brave throughout it all. She will always be remembered. The Home has truly been like a family to me, and even though I didn't know Jody, it feels like I've lost a family member. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends, in RL and here on the Home. RIP Jody! You will always be remembered and loved!
  2. Anat, you're recount on the song totally painted a picture for me. It was like I was watching a story unfolding in front of me. This song is so powerful and so moving, and everything that you said made it even more so.
  3. Claude Kelly is actually a really good writer and has written a lot of good songs.... even though he did write "party in the USA" not one of his strong points, haha. This song is slowly starting to grow on me. The more I listen to it the more I like it... which I think is the same for all of the other songs on the album too.
  4. I was thinking about it on my drive home from work tonight and that is exactly what I was thinking about. It was almost like it just randomly occurred to me, like an epiphany. Anyways it makes a lot more sense now.
  5. Its funny because he wrote with a lot of great people on this album... but yea, I see what you mean by the lyrics not being as interesting.
  6. I see it as a big metaphor for life. How things just happen out of nowhere, like an ocean coming in and taking everything away.
  7. Yea see that's the part I don't get. Yes love is a 4 letter word.... what point are you trying to make....?
  8. This is my favorite verse, maybe on the whole album. Every time I listen to this song I like it more and more. It really is hard to pick just one, or even two, favorites from this album.
  9. This may be my favorite song on the album.... After reading the lyrics I had to go out and buy the deluxe edition so I could hear this song (not that I wasn't planning on it anyways) It kinda says to me that when you hit your lowest lows you need to remember that you still have dreams and goals you are shooting for and you shouldn't give up on them because things haven't been working out the way you thought they would. Every time I hear it I feel empowered to keep going and know that things are going to work out in the end, things will get better.
  10. Right now my favorite is either GTTG, TMAIA or TMO... but I just got the deluxe edition of the cd and This is not the last time is quickly going up there.
  11. Like a lot of others this is ky least favorite song. But I think its because I don't understand the meaning behind it. What are your guys' thoughts on the meaning behind it?
