Hello, My name is Andrew, I just got layed off, I have 3 kids with my wife who is due with our 4th in January, we need direction that the Lord would open the door to what to do and where to go.

That is fine, I will use instructor instead, what I want to know is when Paul admonishes them, "be imitators of me" vs 16 in being a father and not just an instructor what is the difference, is it simply one who leads another to Christ. What were the instructors doing, and when he said you have not many fathers he obviously wanted them to be a father instead of instructor any thoughts

Could someone explain the difference between a "guide" and a "father", in regards to Paul saying to the Corinthians you have many guides but few fathers.

Hello my name is Andrew, For a couple of years my wife and I have been searching and praying for God's direction to move into full time ministry with Bible teaching and for so long doors have only shut over and over again, I have so many opportunities to teach and lead Bible studies, but we are beginning to wonder what is going on. We dont feel that where we are is what the Lord has planned for us, but we cant find a place we feel called to. Pray that we hear clearly, feeling discouraged
