I ask the Lord for direction regularly, but am not seeing fruit from my writing, so I'm kind of discouraged. Not seeing any breakthrough, no representation, etc. Almost feels like there's something in the way....

It feels like the Lord would like to walk with you - literally! Why not start out on very short walks and try to lengthen them over time and see what He has to say to you? I think you'll be delighted as you delight in Him.
