  5. I'm sorry if this has been covered but I found this reading so deep I really had to share so here we go. King Ahab wanted to overthrow Ramoth Gilead but King Jehoshapat encouraged King Ahab to seek the counsel of the Lord vs 5. So he sought counsel from the false prophets 400 in total who were all in agreement and encouraged him to go to war and declared that he would have victory vs 12. I find it so interesting that King Ahab found enough evidence in his 'circumstance' to justify his desire to go to war (400 false prophets predicting success) yet he was in complete error and I would say he knew it vs 15! He received a clear warning with the advice from King Jehoshapat vs 7 "Is there not a prophet of the Lord here whom we can enquire of?" vs 8 King Ahab knew fairly well that Micaiah was a prophet of the Lord and whatever the Lord was about to do it would surely be predicted by Micaiah... vs 14. Look at vs 17 and vs 19 and now vs 22 (for emphasis on the heavenly realm see Ephesians 6:12) I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets - the Lord has decreed disaster upon you! It is interesting to note that the false prophets had in actual fact received revelation vs 24 and prophesied what they had seen yet the source of that revelation came from a lying spirit and King Ahab was deceived because he refused to heed the counsel of the Lord. God does not want any of us to be ignorant and always sheds His light in every situation to the just and unjust vs 16. God is truly amazing in vs 28 Micaiah knew that Gods word never returns void when He speaks it must come to fruition. I think that I've definitely come to the conclusion from my study of the scripture that if the Holy Spirit dwells in us then He can only speak of what hears from the Father and will tell you what is to come (John 16:12). How then can light mix with darkness? and how can someone in the Lord receive revelation from a lying spirit? The story of 1 Kings highlights to me what scripture repeats time and time again if the thing the prophet says does not come to pass God has not spoken through them but they have been led by presumption (Deut 18). But when God speaks (dreams/visions) the thing has to come to pass because God is not a man that he should lie (Numbers 19:23). Just thought I would share Chi
