Hello, everyone! Thoughts on this dream, please...

I was driving to an appointment. There were lots of hills. When I made it to my destination, I decided to park out back.

The  appointment was over, so I went to get in my car. I forgot I parked out back at first, then remembered. I made a mental note to park in the front the next time I went to that location.

There was a huge hill I had to go up. It was scary, but I told myself it would be okay. I put the car in 3rd gear and went for it.

* IRL I was on a game show last year, won a car, but sold it. Why would I be driving a car I no longer own?

P.S. Something just dawned on me!! I only remembered my bat dream from last night when I went to turn on the oven today. At first I thought about what bats mean, ovens, etc. Then the idea dawned on me to post my dream online. This seems to be a dream more about what I was going to do, which is to post my dream online, not so much that the symbols in the dream represent certain things.

Hey there, everyone.

There was a small bat hanging upside down in my oven. At first I thought it was leftover food on the oven rack, but when I took a closer look, I saw that it was a bat. I turned the oven on anyway and warmed up my food. When the food was done, I saw the bat was still there. That's when I went to someone and asked for the meaning of bats in ovens (kind of like what I'm doing now by posting this question!!  )

On Sunday after church service, I asked for prayer because I have been feeling a bit weary (which could be represented by my old car and someone else driving). Things are definitely out of my control at the moment in many areas of my life. I ended up taking a nap after church and saw a vision of my current car's back passenger's door and tire area, with a ton of rain falling. I knew instantly that God was answering my prayer from earlier at church. Refreshing is on the way! Yay!

Also, thanks for including your dream. It really gave me perspective!

Hello, everyone. Any idea what your old / previous car represents in a dream? I was in the backseat of my old car, with my uncle driving it. Some homeless man got in as well, but he made me nervous because I thought he had a weapon with him - he started digging in his pockets, which is when the nervousness started. That was the end of the dream.

My Mom is usually symbolic for God (like in my tornado dream). As far as the rest goes, I can't think of anyone that might jeopardize things at work or anywhere else.

When I saw his bag, my first thought was he left his bag and I wondered how to get his attention because he was literally running from the plane. We were right at that point in a flight when the plane turns on the runway to take off. Then my thoughts immediately went to wondering if he left the backpack because a bomb was in it.

What could it mean if a teenager is driving you and her Mom?

My friend's daughter was learning to drive, so we were the passengers. We were in Italy and driving on the opposite side of the street like the British do (IRL my friend does not live in Italy, they live here in the US). For the most part her daughter was doing fine. A couple of times other drivers had to swerve to miss us, though.

IRL my friend's kids are only 7 and 5 years old. This "daughter" was 14 years old. At first I thought we were driving on a closed road in one of those kid battery operated cars, but it turns out we were in a regular car on the regular road. That's when I asked my friend's daughter how old she was. I also started to speak French in the dream, but messed up on a word. The daughter corrected me and said the correct word was something else. The daughter was wondering why a particular French phrase meant one thing and I said it might be a different translation in English. We kept driving after that and I woke up.

Any thoughts?

I'm going through something very similar right now - my graduate degree is in one area, but my temporary job (which actually just turned permanent) has no direct link to my field of interest. The comforting part is, I am beginning to see how God may be able to train me through this job for what's next in my life for Him.

Yes, pewilso512! That is exactly what this dream is about. It's actually related to some other dreams I have had about my work and being able to make a definite decision.

I got on a jumbo jet to say hello to my Mom. The plane crew was preparing to take off. I sat down, but then realized I couldn't get off. Fear started to set in that the plane might crash. My Mom told me not to worry about being on the flight for free. She said we could get off at the next stop, which was some island near New York. The man in front of me jumped out of the plane as we were about to take off. He left his backpack and other belongings behind. I thought a bomb might be in his bag.

Strange dream. Any thoughts?

Update!!

It looks like this dream was about my current job! From the beginning, I believed my contract would only be for several months, and I was okay with that. Well, as it turns out, I am now a permanent employee! Who would have thought - matches my attitude in the second portion of the dream to a T.

It took God a bit to work on my heart in order for me to get to a place of surrender, but he did it. I am no longer anxious (as in counting down the days with joy) about leaving this job, and I can see all of the good that will come out of me staying for the time-being.

Some guy wanted to use my coffee machine (IRL I received a very nice coffee machine from the manufacturer for free - it's one of those that uses the individual capsules). At first I said okay, but then I changed my mind. I don't remember what the guy did that made me change my mind. I was thinking of using the coffee machine at my wedding, but then thought a regular pot would be better. Someone was telling me that it would be too expensive per cup with the machine. I changed my mind about letting the guy use my machine. Madonna was involved in the dream somehow; however, now I can't remember what she was doing there.

Any thoughts? To me, there is a lot of uncertainty and going back and forth between emotions and decisions.

Still waiting. I believe God has been telling me that I will be moving because ever since I moved to this apartment, I have felt that it would only be for a year. Time will tell on this dream.

Thanks for the comment, Mamoyo. I'm sorry to hear about your husband and the situation you were in. I love how God speaks to us in our dreams, warning us of things that are happening, as well as things that will happen in the future.

As far as my dreams go, neither one of the men in my dreams were my husband or boyfriend (I was and am single), so maybe they were symbolic for something else???

Interesting thoughts, Mark! It's funny because I was one of those contestants that won a parting gift when I was on a game show last year.

Lately, I have had several dreams that involved game shows. For example, in one dream, I was sitting in an amphitheater with a game show theme going on in the background (/t15846-brushing-teeth-and-stairs). Several months ago, I had a dream where I was auditioning for one game show, while an estranged friend was going on another.

More recently, I had a dream where my "husband" (IRL I'm single) and I were on a show like The Newlywed Game. A few days after that, I had yet another dream about my date being the host of a game show. I'm just wondering what all the game show themes could mean??

Any thoughts?

Thank you for the confirmation on the wedding being a commitment. The only thing that comes to my mind is my job.

Any thoughts on this dream?

I was getting married to a stocky guy (I mention his stature because it seemed important in the dream). It wasn't clear to me if we were getting married for love or some other reason. It's almost like I didn't expect to marry him. My dress was ready to be put on, but for some reason, I decided to wear a pair of nice pants, a shirt and a sweater. Everyone kept telling me my outfit was a perfect style and fit for me. I felt the same way as I was looking in the mirror. No one mentioned anything about the wedding dress being there and me not choosing to wear it. My husband and I got married and hugged - I saw a close up of my hands on his back as I hugged him. We seemed happy after the ceremony.

Then, the scene changed to me moving to Texas. I seemed shocked that I made the decision to move there. I became friends with two guys and a girl that was homeless at one point in time (I somehow knew she was homeless, but I can't remember the significance now). The whole time, I was trying to figure out if I should get a roommate or if I could afford to live alone. It seems that I was eventually okay with Texas and started to really own my decision to move there. In other words, I was looking at the good things that could come from it and not the fact that I was living in a place that I couldn't really ever see myself in.

Hmmm. That's a great question, Mia. There are a couple of situations in which I have felt God encouraging me to pray big about, but for some reason I can't bring myself to really own it and pray for the things I am desiring.

That's the only thing that really comes to mind.

Now that I think about it, I had a couple of unusual dreams last night that I believe are answers to questions I have been praying for, and that also relate to this dream. I will write the dreams out tomorrow - it's late and I should be in bed getting rest for work.
