  1. is it difficult to find a place in your area? Expensive or you don't have the time because of your working hours?
  2. is that legal? I know here in UK the landlord MUST give you 24 hours notice if he/she wants to come in to do some checks/repairs etc. unless it's emergency like gas leak or burst pipe.
  3. what kind of inspection and why would they go to your house? Yes I too count the days till weekend - no plans apart from some grocery shopping but I'm planning to have long lie-in on sunday
  4. stuck at work, it's sunny outside but I have little blow heater on under my desk because it's actually cold here. My shower now works but I didn't see my housemate yesterday to ask what was the problem. I heard her coming back at about 11pm and I was already in bed. How's you day/night been? No strange people walking around in their underwear looking for conversation today?
  5. Frannie now shall I think of Kijo and hope that she will appear or should I go and do more work? decisions decisions
  6. Frannie I will be leaving 25th August (after work as my flight is at 8pm) and comming back on 6 September. This was the cheapest way to do it as I needed to be there for 29th when it's my sisters b'day. OH that reminds me - Bogie said (I called her last friday) that if you go for smoke you should think of her Enjoy your smoke, coffee and you Mark free bed
  7. OH I just went page back and click the link - yes way too early for that!
  8. byee Zonnie and have a good day
  9. like me moving to London - we have local bakery in my town where I grew up so I was used to daily baked bread etc. still warm when it hit shelves twice a day. it took me a while but some larger supermarkets here do have in-store bakeries but the bread is not the same like back home
  10. houska don't have raisins. it's just funny shaped bread roll. vanocka would have raising but that's made quite big and long and it's served sliced up, toasted (optional) with some butter and jam
  11. I know exactly what you saying - that's why I copied your idea for recipe website - this way I can get to my favourites even when I'm not at home (here in UK)
  12. on of the things I'm looking forward to when gettin home is Rohlik. it's long shaped bread roll (sometimes can be crescent shape). It's just white bread roll but there is something about it that makes me miss it and round bread rolls just won't do. Maybe it's childhood memories rohlik this one is called Karlovarsky Rohlik and it's made in Karlovy Vary (well not exclusively any more but it's kind of trademark name now) - I live 10 minutes bus ride from Karlovy Vary. and this is HOUSKA
  13. thanks Frannie no it's Vanocka - it's bigger version of houska but sweet. Houska is more like a bap but with different shape. Vanocka is cross between a cake and a bread and it's traditionally done at Christmas time.
  14. well everyone is different and what works for one might not work for other but I do like the idea of naps
  15. Frannie - I'm slowly working on my recipe website (Kijo done some picture adjustments for me). I have not got any english version of czech recipes on that yet - currently working on one translation but I will in due course. Would you mind checking the site (it's got some english recipes) and let me know what you think? (http://)petra.jirusova.tripod.com
  16. 4.5 hours? I go to bed about 11pm and wake up about 5am (stupid blinds) and I feel like a Zombie on my way to shower. thank you. I have to proudly say that after last night weight-in I'm at the lowest weight since I started SW. I felt I was overdue some good news.
  17. If I get hideeny than I will post him specially for you and IMOM Zoonie
  18. hello Frannie so lovely to see you but sad about your messed up sleeping pattern (but if it works for you )
  19. oh I just checked my BMI on SW website (while looking for some idea what to do with kidneys I bough yesterday) and it says my BMI is 24.77 - finally in "healthy" range. That makes me feel good
  20. Hello Zoonie it's been a while - house decorating/sorting keeping you busy? I hope you starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now I have now (well last night) managed to finish flag collection YAY! I think that's first Hideeny collection that I have finished (maybe apart from roses but I'm not sure about that). Hope you feel better soon - I'm just enjoying nice hot cup of nettle and sweet fennel tea
