  1. I love so many songs. Right now Better Than Me and Wicked Game are probably my favorites. I like the Wal Mart bonus tracks better than the ones on the deluxe version.
  2. He officially hates Ohio. We must have done something bad. I haven't been around in a long time. It took me two tries to get the password right.
  3. 🎄. Merry Christmas to all of you lovely word nerds.
  4. That's great news Barb! Congrats to you and the happy but exhausted parents.
  5. Dave needs to come closer for me to have another show. Good for you Paula & Jeannie.
  6. He is getting big and old. He just turned 18 in October. Abi and I went to mom and dad's on Wednesday and came home after dinner yesterday. David stayed home with Brian. He has been really tired lately. They went out to eat with my mil.
  7. That's rough Barb. Glad the shower went well. Feel better. Jeannie. Have fun on your trip. It's way more than I have which is nothing.
  8. How exciting Barb. Nice for her that it has gone so well Things are improving this week. 😊
  9. How did I miss the news about the baby? Congrats on becoming a Grandma It is still a ways from being reasonable here. David turning 18 was the highlight of the last few months.
  10. Great news Jeannie. I'm so glad your mom has bounced back so well. Seeing is really important. Last time I went mine got a lot worse plus I switched to bifocals. It was so nice to see well again.
  11. I can't believe it has been so long since anyone has posted in our thread. How is everyone? There has been a lot going on here. Lots of stress. It has to get better soon right?
  12. oh I hate waiting on the next book. George R R Martin is horribly slow. By the time he writes the next book I might have to reread the last one just to remember what happened. I plan to sleep the weekend away except for the 8 hours I have to work on Saturday.
  13. We aren't going to make it to Toledo. We all got a nasty cold virus and I know I won't be up for driving that far and back and then going to work on Saturday morning.
  14. I agree. I know how I feel about autism awareness. There are still people who think autism is some type of downs syndrome or that my son is the "R" word. I think the ice bucket challenge is a little weird but I'm glad they are spreading awareness for ALS.
  15. Barb, it sounds like you deserve a few days off! That sounds like a lot of work. I can't imagine having more than David & Abi to manage. I still can't keep it straight sometimes. I found it. He does go on at 8 so we will get there some time during the previous act. Now I have to figure out how to get there.
  16. I wasn't sure but figured it was something like that. There are some factors that could end up derailing our plans. The aide shortage at work (I might end up having to work), Abi and David will be finishing up their first week of school so might be too tired. I need to look again to see what time David is scheduled to play. I really don't want to see the other bands. I still have to make it to work at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.
  17. my computer is having problems so I haven't been on much. Jeannie, glad you had such a good time. Are you going to Toledo next week? I want to take David & Abi so I hope that works out. School starts for David on Monday and Abi on Wednesday of next week. This week is the county fair. Abi has two sewing projects hanging in the booth (she got blue ribbons on both plus placed 3rd with both) and yesterday was the cat show. She got a blue ribbon and placed second in the skillathon. Her cat told us off on the way home. It was pretty funny. We are having a shortage of workers at the house once again. Sigh!
  18. I remember meeting Michael in the line after the American Idol show. He was so genuine and funny. He signed Stacy's boob. I am so sad that he is gone. I can only imagine the shock and grief of those he was close to. RIP Michael Johns. Hugs to everyone. I'm glad we all have this place to always call home.
  19. have a great time Paula! I hope I live through this month. Pray for me!
  20. If I had felt better the last few days, the quiet would have been more productive but it was easier to rest with nobody to ask for stuff. I made it through work but that has been all I have been able to do since they left. boo! Jeannie, I'm so sorry about your mom's diagnosis. At least you are both maintaining your good sense of humor.
  21. Jeannie, I'm glad your mom is doing better. I think her desire for food is a great sign. I will keep her in my thoughts & prayers. It is really quiet around here. Both children went to my parents house. This is the first time in many years that they have gone at the same time. After my Dad's major health crisis almost resulting in his demise, he wasn't able to take the stress of having them both there together. It is so nice that David has gotten calmer and Abi more understanding of him so it isn't so stressful. They are planning a trip to the Neil Armstrong museum and many trips to the campground for swimming. I plan to do a major purging and cleaning of the abode while they are away.
