Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Just got my fruit - WB Kijo, I've banned any more games, especially for the summer.Have been to check up on one of our nest boxes and the little birds have fledged - good news, but kind of sad they're gone.
Toulouse 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Yeah Bee, have been wondering to get baby food, don't have to chew that... (that's even the worst part, chewing)
inu-kijo 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Sorry you are hurting today BG.yes... i am not a fan of new games..... but its like a roman, build your own civilization game... so its pretty mucha MUST for me to play.

Toulouse 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I guess I'm used to having pain, but this is different, so makes it less... used to. Does that make sense?
Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Kijo thank you you nearly got me in trouble - i just read the message (and yes it's my fault I can't spell) but I was just talking to a client on the phone and had to laught to what you've written and he now must thing I'm a nutcase
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Bee wrote:...Zoonie that remind me a scene from Friends - after Rachel told her father that she is pregnant by Ross but they won't be getting married he was on the phone with her lecturing her for hours so she left the phone (it was cordless) on the kitchen work top and went to a movies with Pheobe while her dad was blabing on and on I'm SO tempted Bee.The trouble is, I didn't realise she'd be like this, but she keeps ringing more and more, just as though she's here in the room with me - she's apparently fallen out with one of her other friends, as she doesn't think she's giving her enough time (this other friend has recently had her daughter and brand new baby come to live with her) - am realising friend has used this as an excuse to 'distance' herself from this needy friend.Friend has taken offence - but the thing is, she can't see how demanding she is.I think I'm getting the fallout from this I've never really been a game player at all Kijo, but it's not so much that I don't like new games, just that I found PS far too time consuming and don't want to get sucked in again
Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Agreed Zoonie - I only have PS and Farmville and I hardly have time for them. I don't play any other games (had fishville for a while but stopped long ago). There is not enough hours in a day and having them blocked FB at work is not helping Zoonie maybe you should think of an excuse to get out of her phone calls too or you will end up going crazy (and won't have time to do any of your own work). Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm going to have to think of a good ruse, and start laying foundations for it!

Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 See you BG, take care.Get well soon.Bee wrote:In a way its not nice to lie to her but then you also need to have some time for yourself and not having your life to revolve around herIt's not nice, but the alternative would be to simply say I can't spend all this time keeping her company - which is the message she got from her other friend. The thing is, she never thinks anyone else is likely to be doing anything if she isn't doing anything. Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I know and I agree that in this case it's OK to lie. Some people just need a reality check.

Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I've just this moment got rid of her! This news is terribly disturbing
Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I was going to offer to call your mobile as I have your number but you don't need it anymore. News like this is always disturbing - there seems to be so much violence these days. Most of the time I don't even watch the news just to escape it
Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 so they are looking for a shaven headed man - that ought to narrow it down! Zoonie I will release you so you can do what you need to do as I'm off for lunch now. It's lovely sunny so I will go for a walk (I think).
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 OK Bee thanks. The odd thing is that on News 24 they have a man signing the news for deaf people, and he has a resemblance to the picture behind him, of the man they're seeking!Take care Bee, I must go and get cracking, see you soon x

Bee1 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Scots would be - they live in the middle of nowhere where is rainy and windy a lot so they have to shout alot.
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Hey guys.....anyone here ?I guess I missed everyone again, but was PMSL at Bee and her rationale for Scots people being so loud. MY OH is kinda quiet normally, but he does speak quite loudly sometimes (I think he's a bit deaf...or maybe it is that it's so windy up there) LOL!
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Oh and Gill...if you happen to drop by I hope the house is a little more sorted out now and you MUST tell me about the new cooker!

Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 LOL I'm fine thanks but it took me 4.5 hours to get back from Suffolk this afternoon, had to rsh home change cars and get the dogs from kennels - i was in the nick of time. Am collapsing ith G&T :-)How is everything at Chez Zoonie ?
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Oh Wish, you're still here, thought I'd missed you, have done my shoulder in shifting a big pine dresser and top with IMOM, grrrr.
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 We're just having a conversation about getting rid of a leather suite, which I have such a soft spot for, but which doesn't really go in the room (which is L shaped) and a TV we bought a few years ago, which was a big mistake - it weighs an absolute ton! (no joking)We donated our old oven to a Hastings charity, am wondering if they'll come and collect the other stuff before Monday, which is when the carpet fitters arrive!
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Oooh ouch sounds painful! I guess IMOM is unscathed ?!How cool donating your oven! What's the new one like (drools in anticipation LOL)Re: Suite - if it doesn't fit the room it has to go. OH and I have been trying to decide if we need a new one or not. We too are attached to our old chocolate brown leather....we weren't sure, but finally we just ordered a second sofa. I think once the rooms' done it will look lush.
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I sent a couple of things to the registry by the way, but also - do you need anything. I am ok for £ this week since you sent me so much from the registry - is there anything you need or want for Zoonie or Kitty ?
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 WellIMOM is injured, he sustained bad burns to one arm and smashed the back of the other hand over the weekend (he slipped on the kitchen tiles) - on the mend now though.New Everhot is fab - although of course it's warmed up here today, so I turned the ovens and simmer plate off until later (a benefit over other ranges) It looks just beauuuu-tiful The suite, long story, it's positively ancient, but in such good nick, hard to tell from new, and really solid, It's a kind of light pistachio come olive green, very soft colour, based on a chesterfield style, but with loose seat cushions, so not quite so formal looking if you get my drift? But as the room's L shaped, it really ought to have two times two seater sofas, or a two and a three. It's stood as it is for 9 years mind - we never go in there anyway

Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 OMG - IMOM!!!!!!!!!Awww - sounds like you've both been in the wars. LOL at the "sofa" ours is the same story - we never go in the sitting room (where our sofas are) either. I am dead envious of the fab Everhot! We had to turn the Aga off last weekend, but I sorely miss cooking on it and keep forgetting that I need to wait for the conventional oven on before I actually need to cook :-)

Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm trying to overcome my habit of keeping hold of things that we aren't using.I'm really trying to turn over a new leaf. The TV situation is a poser, as we don't let TV dominate our lives, and we're amongst the last in the country here to get the analogue signal turned off...2012 or later, not sure???We don't have Sky or anything, as I said before, so it's procrastination central round here!IMOM has new shoes to make him feel better
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 I know what you mean about the TV - if I had my way we'd have only one TV and it would be hidden away. If it weren't for my Sport addiction I'd lose it altogether but since OH is addicted to TV porn it's out of the question ,,

Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 See BBC have a news programme on, replacing (probably) Eastenders - all about the killings today in Cumbria. It's been an incredibly shocking day.
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Yep - I heard it on the 1.30pm news but then it was only 2 people. I jst arrived home when OH phoned from Stockholm and was telling me it was 12 people killed and 25 injured - so unbelievably sad :-)
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Can't imagine what's gone on there can you? 3 are still critical and 5 are serious. One man was just outside cutting his hedge and was fatally shot as the killer drove by!Crikey it brings you up short and makes you count your blessings, at least for a time hey? Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Massive change of subject Wish - our ED has been featured in a what do you wear to work feature, in Elle magazine, how about that? - shame it was a day when she went for cheap as chips!

Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Not watching BGT I watched it last night and felt like putting a bag over my head.Have Springwatch on, and it's glorious - their Blue tits fledged today and I missed it (am well peed off)PS cheap as chips was all Top Shop, she can't afford anything else
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Aww you missed your tits LOLOur blue tit fledglings have been out and about for a bit - they love the bird box and come very early to make sure they stake their claim! It was quite cool on Monday evening - I was completely alone (OH had to go to Finland at 4am for the week and the dogs had to go to kennels cos I as going to Suffolk on Tuesday morning) - the baby fox came into the front garden and "pootled" around for a bit - awesome , but I didn;t get the camera quick enough :-(
Zoonie 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Ooh your fox cub is like me, I pootle!I just saw the Springwatch blue tits leave the box, but yes, missed ours - at least this year I wasn't on dawn patrol fending off the woodpeckers!I haven't seen any fox cubs yet this year, it's strange, although we're down south, we seem to be lagging behind.
Wish Fairy 0 Posted June 2, 2010 It's weird - it seems we're well ahead here! The cubs have been out for a while and the one in the garden was big. The blue tits have been fledged for a little bit too although the parents have been fighting with the blackbirds which is unusual I think ?? We don't have woodpeckers in the garden, only at the Golf Club. How pretty they are though!
