The Drop In and Say Hi Thread

Recommended Posts

I'd like wine, but it would only be greedy as R and I are having a V&T (his is G to be honest) He says Hello as well btw.

I'm just moaning, there's no one here to worry about except us two, so it's not like trying to sort out a family, and, at least we have lots of rooms to keep moving stuff in to - our drawing room, dining room, new bathroom and cloakroom all look like a magazine set (for now)

but that's only because no one's been in there

Wish - I'm lamp shopping congratulations

Am glad the business is lucrative, no pain, no gain is fair enough, but - pain + gain is more like it!

Agreed on all fronts. HI to IMOM too - my friend in Gin :-)

You're right on all fronts - it would be awful having all that work done if you had a young family etc, for me it's the same - no way I could do all this if there wasn't only us two. Dogs make it more complicated - they have to go to kennels next week for a bit as we're both away, but after next week I'm on vacation for a week - our cruise!

How was you're weekend by the way ? It was wonderful weather and we managed to fit in 2 BBQ's :-)

What kind of lamps are you looking for ? I can never seem to find exactly what I'm looking for on the lamp front....

Hehe, yes Wish, indeed : D
Hope she doesn't mind me keeping it quiet, I want her to adjust and as she said the delivery was hard, I want her to have her full rest. She's had probably enough visits already.

Still working hard, indeed, exams in a couple of days (first one is june 11th, but I lose a day with surgery again)

Good Morning - how are you getting on Mindy? your schedule sounds exhausting.

Have you heard from your friend Avira? I haven't heard anything of her for ages. Have they set off on their road trip yet?

It's a better day here, have the door open and although it's slightly chilly, it's better for the paint drying!

Wonder if anyone is lurking :-)
Gonna do my story anyhow!

Went to visit the new family this afternoon and took my camera along to take some pics (which are fabulous if I might say so myself) of the newborn. He's been very quiet today, wonder if that had anything to do with my presence. Just joking :-)
Best Friend has a very rough delivery, as I said before. She'd gone in Tuesday eve and the delivery itself took 18 hours... She lost a lot of blood and fainted, still not feeling too great, but hope it's better soon. Might visit her this weekend again, to drop off the pictures I took (and printed a couple out, to give as a present).

Other then that, still working pretty hard... As a matter of fact, I'm still gonna study a bit this eve (even though my headache came up again, wore my contacts for a bit today, so wonder if that's related or not)

I havent talked to her much lately either. She is quite busy with her new job, maintaining their new home and she also began homeschooling her son. When she was visiting the forums a while back, she didn't have any of these things on her plate! So I rarely see her on FB let alone PS. All is right in her world though, and I'm very happy for her. I don't have any new news on the bus, but I'm sure she'll post something on FB when there's something to report. I will drop her a note and let her know she is missed.

Today is a great day, my boyfriend got a job on a great network show. His first network comedy job. He is so excited, he took the job without asking about salary (I scolded him a bit for that but I think he barely noticed). It will be a weekend of celebrating, for sure! The best part is, I get the home office to myself again!!!

Morning anyway - it's 8am and it's chilly here (again Sad)

Great news Mindy, thanks for the catch up. Congratulations to your b/f - really happy for him about the job (and you for getting the office back, lol)

BG, when I get a bad head, first thing I do is take the contacts out.
Will look for pics of the baby, bless - did you have a big Aaaaaw moment?

Sorry I'm not around much, it really is chaotic here, but as they say, you can't break an omelette without breaking eggs - once all this sorting out and work is done, I'm definitely getting a new routine and turning over a new leaf ... no excuse for it not to stay really clean and tidy now (and the tidier it stays, the easier it is to keep clean)

Some strange happening - you know we have all new cupboards in our bathroom? I was tidying them and found a little bottle I didn't recognise at all, I've never seen it before, it has no label, so no idea what it contains, and neither does IMOM - it's just a really big mystery!

Am cooking breakfast at the moment, something to warm us up - oven cooked Cumberland sausages and caramelised onions in soft white baps (round bread rolls)

Bee, the weather forecast is pretty dire isn't it? (as usual for a holiday weekend) Grrrr.

Hi Bee, I haven't seen you in ages. I'm never up this late.

Did you try smelling it, Gill?

LOL yes, I tried smelling it, nothing distinctive.

It's a very small plastic bottle with a turquoise screw top. The liquid's an amber colour and very runny (i.e. not like shampoo or anything) and it doesn't seem oily.

Sorry Bee. It's a breakfast to set us up for the day, missing out on lunch.
We have to go out and do a big food shop later - oh deep joy!

Just logged in to FB and someone on my friend list (a PS player) has this as their status

'I sometimes wish my school would burst into song, like in High School Musical'
rofl - can you imagine it?

I have to say High School Musical went right past me but I can imagine what's that bout.

I need to get up too - shower, get dressed and off to a market before it gets too busy there.

have a lovely and (is possible) relaxing weekend - let's hope the weather will improve

Just taking a real quick break to respond to Z; not staying too long, got a lot planned today

Well, headache started after I took out the contacts, so very strange.
All in all, it didn't take long, so I'm glad!

Certainly had a lot of awww-moments yesterday, hard to believe we've all been that small :-D
About the pictures: I'm not posting them on Facebook as parents asked me not to do so (was not planning either), because they're fond of their privacy. I might post one for a tiny bit here if I get the chance to stop by a bit longer and if anyone's here offcourse. Will be removing after anyhow.

And now, back to my books!

Thanks for the treat Mindy!

Good Morning, it's a bank holiday weekend in the UK, and typical bank holiday weather (cold and wet!)
I saw it was Memorial Weekend in the States too, does that mean no work today?

Kijo I was still sleeping at half five - not back in our own bedroom yet, hope to sort that all out today.
We had so much we meant to do over this weekend, but as usual it's mostly left for today ... got sidetracked watching England play football yesterday, boy they were bad - they'd better look to their laurels for the world cup (first match is against the USA)
