Tiddly Winks 0 Posted February 20, 2011 If you're like me and totally loathe the new Facebook picture display. There is a way to bypass it. If you are on Firefox, the easiest way to bypass the ugly picture issue is to use the refresh button at the top of the browser and it will automatically go back into the old picture display. If you are on other browsers and refresh doesn't work, try hitting F5. On firefox the F5 doesn't work, but according to some of my FB friends, that works pretty well.I guess it's a lot of hit and miss, but I am sooo overjoyed that there is a way to get away from that new feature...because I don't like it. Hehehe, cheers.

Tiddly Winks 0 Posted February 20, 2011 Make sure you click on the picture and go into the 'black screen' bit before refreshing. You have to do it each time, but it's better than staring at the black screen. I guess they wanted to do it like a slide show, but I couldn't copy the photo urls from that crazy bit. That's why I hated it. If I wanted to post a photo from my page here, I had to post the thumbnail...ugh. Now, I can post pictures again.
raizuh 0 Posted February 20, 2011 You could also RIGHT CLICK the photo/thumbnail you wish to see and OPEN it in a NEW TAB. The black screen will not show.
Tiddly Winks 0 Posted February 20, 2011 The problem I had with that was most times I wanted to copy the url so I could post it here. Not being able to do that was a pain. So the refresh option actually works better for me. But, other options are good.

Atlezast not as a given! If they want for us to have an option on how we'll see the photos is perfectly fine but not as an altumatum Thank you

Tiddly Winks 0 Posted February 21, 2011 They took away the refresh. Now I'm really upset. Edit: it still works on the regular computer, not on the laptop. OKay, I'm only half miffed. Hehehe.
Lucky Strike 0 Posted February 21, 2011 The best thing you can do is open the pic in a new tab.. Atleast there's still a sure way..
