Gaiamaiden 0 Posted July 13, 2009 Important Changes Made To Trades Involving STR As you know the safety of all parties during a trade is important, thats why we recommend using STR (Safe Trading Rederees) when making trades. But as you may or may not be aware last week there was a trade where one of the STR's were impersonated by one of the members in the trade and the other members lost their items. This forced us to think of a way to safe guard not only the members but the STR that are there only to help make trades safe. This is how we came up with the Password system. All it involves is the STR sending passwords out to the two members trading so they know for definate its the STR and the STR knows its the right members they are dealing with. We realise this may seem long and drawn out but it is there for a very good reason, to make sure the trade is safe for all parties. We only have you best interests at heart and we want you to have a fun and safe time in PSFC. Here is a step by step guide on how a typical STR trade could go: - ask a ref to help both party's state the trade on the thread - ref agrees , then send both traders a pm (on psfc) with a password for the trade (keep it safe). - you then f/r the rep, adding the password in to the f/r, if you are all ready friends then you send a note in ps with the pass word attached. - wait for the rep to reply. - send the items over , happy in the knowledge you have had a really nice and safe trade - when rep has receved all items he/she will send the itams to their new homes. Village Mayor-petsociety 0 Posted July 13, 2009 Well were all working as hard as we can blocking scammers from the forums, every forum will always have a scammer popup once in a while, however we're maing sure we're always one step ahead.It's all about your saftey, and we belive now we have the safest Trade Referee system of any Pet Society forum!Remember, we also have the rep system, safe traders badges (please please please, if you are going to trade frequently then apply for a safe traders badge, it takes maximum 48 hours to get your badge after applying and really will help with your trades!)
