The very bike I took my test on

Recommended Posts

This is my Honda XL125 bought new in 1975 from Ken Ives Loughborbough rd Leicester long since gone.(although funny thing his daughter was in my class at school and it never clicked derrrrrrr)
This bike is the very bike I passed my test on and I still own it,I sprayed the tank blue as soon as I could as these bikes where orange when new I wanted the XL to look the same colour as my Dads Triumph he had a litre of paint spare I nicked it! soon to be on here.

If that's a current photo then you can be congratulated on a very nice and well looked after bike.

Again nice bike this is my version a 1976 TL125 I have owned it for about 14 yrs now and not done a thing exept normal maintenance. I got a Sammy Miller 150cc kit about 10 yrs ago with the intention of fitting it when the engine needed any work.

ps like the blue, never much of an orange man, not even on a Laverda.

I remember them, had an orange one as a second bike so I did'nt ruin my Z1000.A friend also had a SL125 in silver,he managed to fall of it about 15 times and that was just coming in to the (same) car park. Shocked
