naa I think its this
A popular drink in the West Midlands, 'Brown and Mild' is a mix of half a pint of mild and a bottle of Brown Ale in a pint glass.

It's a half pint of Bitter with a half pint bottle of Light Ale, hence "Light and Bitter"

Used to be a popular drink back in the '70s - you usually ended up with over a pint 'cos in those days the half wasn't measured electronically but by pulling a pump so you'd get more than half a pint of bitter, then add the bottle of light ale thumbs

Anyone ever tried snakebite? I haven't, just want to know what it tastes like. I remember being down the pub with my mate many many years ago and he had a mix of guiness, lager, cider and vodka all in one glass. No idea why and I'm not surprised he was ill that night

It depends on what Brewery owns the pub you go in - in a Courage pub it would be Courage Light Ale in a Watneys pub it would be Watneys Light Ale etc etc
