New Cafe Lake district.

Please all support this facebook attached link. One of my friends on another forum Hires Bonnies out to people in the Lake district.

His been working hard to open this cafe, it will be biker friendly and there is nothing in the Lake district like it. One of the Nimbys did a google on his name and found out he hired bikes. So they got a few narrow minded individuals together and petitioned to try and stop him.

Our plans to open the Filling Station biker cafe have been met with uproar by the locals who have started to make objections to the Lake District Planning Board and the local media, stereotyping bikers as drug taking Hells Angels who make lots of noise, are a danger of the roads, and are quite unwelcome in their back yards.

Even the pub opposite has started proceedings with getting a petition going in addition to making an official objection. This will delay the opening by at least 2 months.

I need some favourable comment on the planning website. IF you can make a favourable comment on my behalf it'd be appreciated. We need to get across that most bikers are responsible 40'somethings, with families, good jobs, disposable income, are law abiding and the area NEEDS facilities for them. The only other alternative is a van in a car park.

I think you may only be allowed to comment if you are in the UK though.

A cafe in the area would be very good for the people of the Lake District, as well as enthusiasts of our sport.
