firehawk 0 Posted December 20, 2011 now i'm going to be controversial and say I don't like some of what they plan. for instance, the no need for a proof of insurance certificate. people have been stopped before where the ANPR say they have no insurance. they have a certificate but we all know that people can cancel and still mange to keep the cert. however, it sometimes turns out that they do have insurance and that the computer was wrong. same when trying to tax. if the records say no insurance whereas they actually do have it then they will struggle to get tax until sorted.I also don't like the fact that they may do away with the paper counterpart licence. We all know that DVLA records are often wrong. I would prefer to have a written record of my provisional entitlements and the fact that my licence is clean rather than them making out I have points and I don't have entitlements to drive certain vehicles. The systems and records need to be sorted properly if they are going to do any of this.
