proprietary kit was not much use for 'v' like area on silencer as the two sets of pipes come together so a mix of what was to hand, steel wool and wire.

Sounds better and short run into town worked out but the test will be the 200 miles odd away day tomorrow.

while awaiting engine repair it makes sense to avoid sunstantial outlays. Hopefully the engine can be put right at reasonable cost and a new silencer duly purchased.

couldn't part the silencer from pipes so welding not an option.
