obalanga 0 Posted October 10, 2013 I am coming up to my full first year of riding and have been looking around for an upgrade. I have seen a bike and when I feed the details online for a quote i get confused about the saving or not saving the no claims bonus. If i save it it costs 1178 pounds. If I don't save it it drops to 450 pounds. Could anyone explain to me what this no claims is and why it fluctuates so much please?
BanditMike 0 Posted October 11, 2013 Sounds like "Protected No-Claims". Means that if you have a claim, you get to keep your no-claims discount rather than losing it. Most only apply for a limited number of incidents, usually 2 or
stantheman 0 Posted October 11, 2013 protected no claims is an absolute con if you have a claim you have to stay with the company youre insured with and they will load your policy anyway if you move the new company will ask if youve had any accidents and they wont take any notice of youre protected no claims policy
