Forever I Ride

For ever I ride, to forget the world,
So much pain and sorrow, fill my soul.
Of days gone past, about war and fast.
For ever I ride, to forget the need
for those I could not save and cannot heed,
of friend's no longer here, to bring me
Cheer. For ever I ride, to see the beauty,
that heals my soul, so much beauty, to
behold. moving streams, mountains high,
Faces flashing by, as I ride and ride.
For ever I ride, when life is unkind,
Seeking treasures to find. A tin here, a
A wood there, a wire to unwind. For ever I
ride, dreaming of those treasures soon to
be gleaming, in art, created with the soul
and heart, for those friends who are far
Apart. Forever I ride, now with a smile,
Mile after mile.
