Through the seventies and early eighties I was supervisor of Commercial loans for a large Bank. Books had to close NYE so we rarely got out of there until two am or so. Then, after having Robin and staying home. Mark played in a band as a second income. NYE was shot all through that time.. Soooooooo.. we try to stay awake until midnight. wait for the idiots here who shoot off guns and foreworks to settle down and then we sleep. Exciting, eh? Toulouse 0 Posted December 30, 2009 We wanted to have a quiet NYE, so we probably will watch movies on TV or play some DVDs and wait until it's midnight, open up some bubblies, watch the fireworks and head to bed. On Jan 1st we do family visits and that's about it.

Zoonie 0 Posted December 30, 2009 WB to you BG Army, I seem to have been on the go all the time, but going one step forward and two back somehow...let's not worry.Frannie wrote:ooo Bibendum looks interesting... especially the Crustacea Stall. Love seafood!!!!Did you read the NYE menu? we've chosen already It's where we went for our wedding anniversary, and where we took YD for a lunch to celebrate her 21st. The food's excellent and the building and service you get there are both amazing.I don't think we've had a big NYE for years, like Mark, we used to work when we had the wine bar; didn't really do anything when the girls were small, and since we lived here, just socialised with our neighbours (who're not really party people)

Frannie 0 Posted December 30, 2009 sounds wonderful. It's a tradition here to have pork roast on New Year Day. I fix it with a boatload of sauerkraut and then side veggies. One of my favorite meals, mostly because of all the caraway seed I use. Love caraway seed
