2010 Chat - January (part 1)

Recommended Posts

Armell - I am fine sweetie, but so sorry to hear about the situation with your friend and like Frannie, no need to apologise, that's what we're here for my sweet!

Frannie - thanks for asking. He's staying with my Oh's brother, he's ok but not great and won't be driving or flying (or indeed going out anywhere soon!)

Gill - I'm gonna check what I have in my chest right now

Sorry playing catch up, was just finishing my angry email to the Mayor of London lol.

See you Frannie, See you Wish.

Thanks both for the mistletoe, do either of you want one back?
and to Sara for the tree seed.

They're for Missy, so I will tell them who they're donated by

Just watching the snow and travel news, it's really unbelievable.
16" in our parts and up to 20" up in Scotland, but a lot of it's so dangerous as it fell on ice.

Airports and roads closed, trains off and people trapped in cars overnight!

aaw thanks Army.

Same goes for me as for Sharon you know - if you need a friendly shoulder, it must be a strain for you and all your friends. Good on you though for being so understanding and not taking things personally.

Oh bless, a zoo just on the TV, has been giving hot baked potatoes, to keep the baboons warm, how sweet is that?

Sorry - bye Army and thank you.

I'd just stepped away from the computer, as there's an altercation with Dennis and Socks and Dennis wont come indoors...a bit worrying really...he's in major sulk-mode.

WB PInkster!

Marie we couldn't get anywhere.
OH's train was only going as far as Tonbridge and that's no good, so he's had to stay home and do what he could from here (which in all honesty, was not a lot!)

Still snowing, and the flakes are getting bigger, so we're anticipating the same tomorrow.

Our neighbours couldn't get home from London last night, and are in a Hotel!

Thanks Sara.

Marie, don't suppose you've heard any more of Bee today? she made it into work, with difficulty, but I'm a bit worried about her getting home.

My YD works in the centre of town in a bank within a shopping mall, and they closed the mall at 3pm today, so she got to go home early. She thought it was great as she walks to work anyway, and was planning to go out with her her mate to a bar for mulled wine tonight.

Bad to admit, but I haven't looked outside since it's gotten dark here, so I think no more snow has fallen over here. Still more snow to come! Am going to order some gloves for me and Dad, made out of fleece. They're fingerless (I love them and Dad could use them outside when he has to feed the animals)

Good evening everyone

Zoonie and Marie - thank you for your thoughts.
It's been snowing in London all day today but snow was melting till about 2pm then it started to stay on the ground. Boss decided to close the office at 3pm as we all had problems getting to work this morning and we all went home. Trains are runnung reduced service today (and tomorrow too) so it took a while but I got home about 5pm (20 minutes walk from local station today as I was not sure if buses were running).

Just been to shops to get bread and milk as we run out and my local sainsbury's has most of shelf empty - but I managed to get the milk LOL

I am home safe and warm. Not sure what it will be like tomorrow - we have about 2.5 inch of snow in my village.

Hope you all doing fine and are nice and warm and had great day
