In need of ideas to help my 8 yr old daughter focus better at school!!

I am in need of ideas to help my daughter who is 8 focus better in school. Im getting the feel that her teacher may want me to medicate her, but we are NOT open to this idea. Im wondering if any parents/teachers out there have any ideas to help us with this challenge in a natural way.

A big thing is diet. I've heard most people say that if you change that you may not need drugs. But there is lots of stuff on that link. I love earthclinic so I go there first whenever I need a doctor and so haven't had to go to the doctor in about five years.
