rmartin 0 Posted June 23, 2013 ok today was very different. i was sitting at the kitchen table and i heard a loud piercing noise in my right ear. then i heard this angel tell me "you have been giving the gift of discernment.... enjoy". After wards i looked at my step dad and he struggles with his belief with god and i knew that. but i seen a orange golden glow in his chest it was invisible and i instantly knew that god was working with him in his walk with god. Then i looked at my dog. and this made me really laugh because of what i seen. he was chained outside infront of the door and looking inside. this makes me laugh everytime i remember this. This is how my dogs sprit was described. "im sorta dumb, im goofy, and i like food". Ok then after i was done laughing i looked at my mom and i got very sad. i dont really want to say what i saw. But this is what i seen, i see half in half out. or what you would call luke warm. so please pray for my mom. Then i looked at m step dad agan. and i seen friend. Then i looked at my step dad and i seen....before i say this im sorry for using these words but this is what i saw. "sex addict". i told them what i seen and my aunt came over and then it went away because i tried to discern her. does anyone know why it happens sometimes and not all the time. is it because i was testing god to see if it really was from god. is this how spiritual discernment works. can anyone tell me what spiritual discernment gift is and how it works. Daisy 0 Posted June 23, 2013 First of all, my personal belief is that you should have kept what you saw to yourself...and not told them about it. I believe GOD wants to teach you how to properly use this gift. I think he will show you things not to share with the individuals what you saw, but to pray for them privately or so that you can know how to encourage them in their walk when God opens the door for you to encourage them. Sometimes, The Lord might want you to wait on him for his timing on when to encourage someone in The Lord with what you saw. For instance, with seeing your mom being half in and half out, perhaps waiting for the right opportunity to encourage her to fully commit herself to The Lord would have been much more powerful than sharing with her what you actually saw. This is just my opinion. I personally think as you steward faithfully over this gift, you will flow in it more frequently. Keeping in mind that this gift is for the building up and edifying of others, to encourage them to walk closer with The Lord.
