I personally wouldn't consider any games i have to even be horror related (Minus Resident Evil 5 maybe), BUT I've recently have gained an interest for shadow of the colossus and one of the colossi's eyes (in my opinion) just pierce your soul and give me chills.

The old days: Vampires would be sneaking in dark alleys, sucking the blood out of there victims and killing people. They were afraid of daylight because they would would burn and explode in it and were cruel and badass.

I haven't played, but I found the playthroughs addicting for penumbra and amnesia, they seem scary.

Also, I'll list some good movies under the "scary" genre, but they might not all be scary

insidious, paranormal activity, the woman in black, haunting in connecticut (wasn't as scary as people say -.-), the crazies, dawn of the dead, etc.

You can also always go for the classics like friday the 13th, nightmare on elm st, saw, etc. but those can get pretty cheesy

but um i like watching scary movies for the horrible acting instead of the story line itself so yeaaahhhhh
