I dreamt that there was a large cleanup effort in a regional park. I was with the first group and we picked up litter and debris with our hands and rakes. I recognized some of the people as both personal friends and co-workers. Afterwards we went to a hall, kind of like a community center where we gathered and were talking. My  was with a group of men who went through the same area of the park that we just went through. Their assignment was to clear out the dead wood - old tree trunks, old dead trees, any larger objects that was too heavy or large to life with your hands. They were given bulldozers, cranes, and other equipment to assist in this effort.

When they were finished, they came back to the community center. When I saw my  , he had a thick file of paperwork which caught my eye because it suggested that he was doing business with the men while they were working (he's a financial advisor IRL). I asked him what the papers were and he looked at me but didn't say anything, his look was more of "watch and find out". He then flipped through the papers so that I could see what they were. They were applications and forms that were completed which showed that he had just completed a lot of sales while he was doing the clean up. I was congratulating him when I woke up.

When I think of diamonds, I think of a divine gift. Also, here's a dream definition of jewelry from Mia's dream dictionary that might be helpful:

Good info! I didn't realize that BBW did their sales every Jan/June, that's good info too! I accidentally walked into their June sale and bought several Christmas presents there for an obscenely low price. Will have to check them out this week to see what's still available...

I also agree with stress, but in relation to its impact on your spiritual life. Things have been beyond hectic for you lately - has it impacted your ability to carry out your personal spiritual activities, i.e., time in the Word, prayer time, etc.? If so, this may be what's manifesting in the dream...

First, congratulations to you and your husband on having a baby on the way!

I have a question and some thoughts - you mentioned that the baby reminded you of a Hindu god and that your in-laws are Hindu - do you feel that that part of the dream has significance or is strictly random/coincidental?

I ask because sometimes these situations can often be sticky/sensitive (in my family I have relatives who are involved with or married to people from Muslim backgrounds). Do you and your in-laws agree to disagree spiritually or is there under the radar (or overt) conflict over your differing spiritual beliefs and practices that may come to a head in raising this child? As an example, I have a cousin who is married to a Christian but his family is Muslim. When they had their kids there was tremendous pressure from the family that the kids have Muslim names. They resisted with the first and with the second selected a name that had both Christian and Muslim roots as a compromise. Is it possible that you are experiencing similar concerns in relation to your in-laws?

If I'm way off base here, please accept my apologies in advance.

Will they be at your home for a few days again or is this a day visit? If the latter, is there a way for you to arrange activities or a visit to other relatives/friends/neighbors for your sone while they are visiting so that they aren't around your son but are able to see your parents and are able to drop off the items?

I've not been on the site for a while so don't know the details of your situation but if it is new in that the wounds are fresh, having them around your son might also do more damage than good for him. When we forgive, we leave the other party in the hands of the Lord and we move forward BUT that doesn't mean that we have to make ourselves vulnerable again to the party who caused us harm, especially if they haven't accepted responsibility for causing the pain and/or if they haven't demonstrated a heart of repentance. It's appropriate that you are still dealing with trust issues, please balance being hospitable with being discerning. You have the right to protect your home and family, while it is appropriate to be hospitable while they are at your home visiting your parents, you should not feel obligated to have them in your home for an extended period nor should you feel obligated to have the children play together - that does indeed feel like opening the door to snakes, i.e., spirits of divisiveness, conflict, control, etc. You set the new boundaries of what an acceptable visit looks like, please don't feel obligated to allow it to occur in the manner it has in the past....

I'm in agreement with Mark that this may represent something that you didn't see coming. In my own dreams, car collisions often represent a conflict that I'm going to have with someone in the future. It may be that you'll have one of those interactions with someone that quickly escalates and makes you wonder "Where did that come from?" That he won't provide his information suggests that he isn't being accountable/responsible for his role in the collision and the lack of insurance suggests an irresponsible/reckless element. Does this sound like anything going on in real life?

Saturday, October 27th
Scene One
I was in LA. I had been driving my car (a BMW convertible) and took it to a Kragens’ (auto parts store) and purchased something for the car then went to a DIY(do it yourself) carwash. I was trying to assess the neighborhood because I didn’t know it and felt like I was in “da hood” but couldn’t really tell. There were a lot of young men on the streets but they seemed more like college students so I felt safe. As I looked around I felt it was an area near a university (USC??)

I had washed my car but realized that I had left the roof in the mid-air position so was very careful about washing/rinsing it. After washing it, I put the roof all the way down and was sitting on the top of the back seat checking out the area. I decided that I needed to do something to contribute to the well-being of the neigborhood. The staff at the store had done something really nice for me although I can’t remember what it was (gave me access to something or gave me something that I didn’t have the money to pay for?) so I decided that I was going to clean the parking lot to return the favor. What was odd was that there was a huge area run in the middle of the parking lot. As I started sweeping that part of the parking lot, the dream transitioned into Scene Two…

Scene Two
Someone from my high school was getting married. Apparently, they had become a celebrity. The wedding was being held in a ritzy hotel banquet room (like the Biltmore in California). There were many round tables in the room but they were the high cocktail tables that require the tall chairs, rather than the regular height dining tables. Three or four people could sit at each table. I was already seated with a couple of my friends and the guests started to come into the room. I was recognizing many of the guests and thought that this was almost more like a class reunion than a wedding. One of my closest friends from high school entered the room (we grew apart over the years). While she didn’t see me, I saw her and wondered if I might be so lucky to not run into her over the course of the evening…lol!

At one point, the “celebrity” guests entered. There were around 5 guests who were well known stars but were seeking anonymity so the lights were dimmed low enough that we couldn’t see their faces as they were escorted to their seats. The lights came back on and the door to the room wasn’t a regular door, it was covered by four layers of cloth that varied in thickness, from silk to velvet. I went outside and the staff needed help with the wedding cake. I was helping the staff look over the cake as they were going to start cutting it into serving pieces and they were trying to figure out how to go about doing it. After helping them, I went back inside the banquet room to my seat. End of dream.

I had this dream and one other about a month ago but they're still stuck in my mind. I'd appreciate any interpretations or thoughts....

Was at a reception, and ran into Shirley Harris (a former boss) and talked to her and went to her home. She made a reference to longtime relatives that we hadn’t seen in a while. She had a gadget that I used and it turned out that I had a cousin in Marin County (one of the wealthier areas of the SF Bay). So I took my friend Karen with me to visit her.

She was having a birthday party for her son and her daughter. They shared the same birthday (Oct 9th). She apparently was related to me through my mother’s side of the family. She wasn’t a first cousin but a cousin’s child and to trace our connection, it would be necessary to go back to the district that my mother’s family is from in Jamaica. It wasn’t clear whether she understood that we were related. At the front end of the dream there was a Mass and a walk of some type (like a procession) on the house property. The property was huge (10 acres) and well maintained/manicured. But it was a very trendy, modern type of property that reflected Californian sensibilities. A lot of things were built on the property, much of it geared towards kids - playgrounds, activity centers (miniature golf, laser tag, race cars, bumper cards, video games, etc.), obstacle courses, basketball courts, tennis courts, swimming pools, a BMX bike course, and a skateboard rink, golf, etc. It was kind of odd since the kids were still preschool age, it was like they built up the property so that the kids could grow into it.

It seemed like the party started early in the morning before sunrise and lasted all day. Towards the end of the day, I did something that caused something to happen. It was one of those “You didn’t follow the rules on how to do this” moments. We were at a particular activity area that had mailslots and apparently I didn’t put a key into the mailslot before doing something. An administrator from my son’s school was there and pointed it out but downplayed it so it wasn’t a big deal and started to fix it.

At that point, I introduced myself to my cousin and we all went back to her house. As we were walking through the property to get to the house, my friend and I were awestruck and were wondering what this woman and her husband could be doing for a living to be able to afford this amazingly awesome house/mansion and property. K. and her husband have done well career wise/financially and they live in another well to do area of the Bay (though not as wealthy as Marin), so the fact that she was awestruck as well stood out to me in the dream. It turned out that my cousin was a doctor and her husband was a lawyer.

We went shopping and I offered to take her to meet my mother later. We went into a store and I was looking for a new blouse for my mother. There was a nice variety of tops but I was concerned that the quality of the shirts didn’t match the style so we decided to go to another store. I then ran into another cousin (who lives in Atlanta IRL) (she is also the daughter of a cousin). She was looking for a gift for her brother for his birthday. End of dream.

I agree with Mark that this may be a prophetic dream that will manifest at some point.

As you know, God will sometimes present us with something in the dream that is intense/exaggerated in order to draw our attention to that element. In this case it may be more about the date not turning out the way you'd hoped or more specifically that the man says something that is "biting" (harsh) or he overreacts to something....

My suggestion is to keep dreaming so that God can show you more about your Boaz...

How did you feel about the gift of the shoes in the dream? you described them as cute but odd - is that how you felt about them in the dream as well?

To me cloths are just pieces of fabric, they don't have a shape. Clothes are clothing and have a specific role depending on the type of clothing.

In your dream, putting on a new outfit definitely speaks of making a change, a change of your circumstances. I asked because the first thing that came to me is from Isaiah 61:10 -

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Not sure if it's relevant, but this scripture is the first thing that came to mind...

Just thoughts (that may be out of left field)...

I also thought that this may a prophetic warning of a throat infection of some type but I think there may be a symbolic meaning...

Sometimes when I have dreams like this (i.e., the symbols stand out but don't fit for me although I'm the main person in the dream), it sometimes turns out that the dream wasn't about me but about someone else. This is the spirit of mercy manifesting and is often a call to intercede for someone else.

So my question is are you aware of anyone else who currently has or has the potential to have a throat related issue (e.g., someone who smokes, someone who coughs alot, etc.)? Or the worm symbol may be symbolic of something else like someone who often speaks negatively (Proverbs 18:22 comes to mind) or worse, someone who oftens talks with a lot of vulgarity/curse words/etc.

Again, I think this dream is a call to intercede for someone else....
