Regarding "just praying" though, praying is not simply "saying words", it's giving the control over the situation to Jesus who is going to the a much better job that we could ever possibly do anyway :-). By this I don't mean stay uninvolved by any means. Do whatever the Holy Spirit leads you to do. But from my own experience I can tell that while I was lifting up a person, the Lord changed circumstances so that He lead us to the very perfect people who that person listened to and got changed from the inside. With other words He will bring the perfect laborers across the world if need be to get the job done fast :-)
This laborer in his life might be you might not. But Jesus knows who this is.
Another point of this "giving all control over to Jesus" is, all this will happen effortlessly :-) Kind of "by itself". So don't torment yourself with all these questions as to how to help. Things will simply start happening :-) God's in control.
And again, I'm very sorry for my mistake.

I agree in faith with everyone above and can only add - do not leave this family gathering to "the chance". Take charge over the spiritual atmosphere in your home. If you are married, do this with your husband or let him do it as he is the spiritual head and leader of your home. All the spirits of strife have to obey his commands in JESUS' Name. I have seen it with my very own eyes!
Keep praying blessings over every person who will come and stay with you. Bless them with the spirit God's of Peace and Joy to indwell their hearts and minds and praise the Lord for wonderful family gathering to the Glory of His Name! Pray this "forth" and keep praying while your family stays in your house!

here are my suggestions for you, please toss what does not sit well with you.
Don't worry about him knowing that you know :-). Just lift him up to the Lord in prayer. If he is not saved, pray for his salvation. The Lord is in charge of his soul anyway. If he is saved, just keep praying for the renewal of his mind. Pray Ephesians 3:17-21 over him (putting his name into the scriptures) and in the eyes of your mind imagine him in manifestation of this prayer. Pray the same ond yourself also daily.

I'd aslo strongly suggest so stop saying and even thinking that you are addicted to porn and anything else that is not of Christ. When you got saved you've became a NEW CREATION: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" 2 Corinthians 5:17. These are not just beautiful words, this IS the reality for YOU. You are daughter of God. His Son Jesus has paid a very dear price to redeem you from any bondage of sin. So that means that whatever stronghold WAS in you previously driving you to addiction HAS BEEN BROKEN forever. You did not do this. Jesus did! That means only one thing - you don't have to strive to overcome the addiction. Ask Jesus to show you this truth, to reveal it to your heart and mind that you may enjoy it.
So whatever is left is just your mind and soulish habits that need to be renewed. And again, let Jesus do this work in you. So even every time you turn your eyes to porn or your mind to those thoughts, just boldly proclaim "I AM THE RIGHTEOUS OF GOD! My Lord Jesus has paid the perfect price for me to be FREE from this and therefore I AM free from it. I command my mind to be renewed and get in line with the word of God that says that I am a new creation in Christ Jesus! Praise God!". You'll see how fast this old habit will leave you. Praise God! And whatever you do do not let any condemnation into your heart (Romans 8:1)!!!

God is so faithful and so good to us! Praise His Holy Name! I am so very happy for you and I do believe that this is only the BEGINNING of the downpour of His blessings on your family. Just the first drops! Prepare for much much more! God is GOOD!

I am just praising the Lord for what He is doing in our lives and for His immeasurable Love for us!!

Ruth, I understand what you are going through. It's much easier for me to pray for someone else rather than myself because I don't see their circumstances and don't fix my eyes on them. For example I prayed for my husband's work situation and after a while I am seeing the manifestation of my prayers. But for my own work situation I never even prayed because I looked at the natural circumstances too much and it's like they are gripping me with unbelief. But you know what? It's because I let them. They themselves have no power over me. Praise God, we have our Lord Jesus Who is above all these things.
So this morning I've decided to take my eyes off the natural things that look impossible to move and fix them on Jesus instead. This morning I praise and thanked my Father God for not sparing His Son Jesus for us, for Jesus to shed His Precious Blood for us and when the Lord was resurrected and seated up on the Throne with the Father, WE ALSO IN HIM were resurrected and are literally in the spiritual realm SEATING (RIGHT NOW) just like JESUS, in Him we are also exalted HIGH above ALL powers, dominions and principalities of the darkness (which also includes all the viruses and bacterias ever existing in this world!). Ruth, I encourage you to take your eyes off what you see and no matter what it looks like in the natural in the eyes of your mind see yourself and your daughter seated with Jesus inaccessible in His Presence for any harm whatsoever! Praise God! Speak it into existence and watch the manifestation come to God's Name Glory and Honor!
I am standing in the gap for you and your daughter, for complete healing and freedom from all the chains of sickness and medication! In Jesus' Name! Amen!

Just was wondering if anyone can tell me what this means:
When I was praying for their house situation, I closed my eyes and strethched my arms out and in my imagination I put my hands over their home and was praying for it. Then out of the corner of my left eye I saw a bright while lite coming. I opened my eyes to make sure there was no some sort of natural light there and there wasn't. I closed my eyes again and this light formed into a shape (outline) of an Angel with big white wings. He was standing with His back towards me facing the same direction I was facing and His arms were stretched in the same direction as mine. Also there was something in front of the Angel that I could not see but it was glowing with an amzing bright and huge glow. The whole time this Angel was in the area where I could see Him from my left eye and then this vision disappeared.
I don't think I've seen anything like that before, could someone please let me know what it could be? Was this a real angel, my imagination (I was not trying to imagine anything like that. I never even thought of Angels at that time). Or did anyone else experience this as they prayed for someone?

Would you please pray with me for a friend of mine (a Pastor and his family). His family has been in quite a bit of financial turmoil lately. We've bin praying for the victory over this and I just got a message that they got a foreclosure notice on their home. We stand in agreement that it's not over till God says it's over and God's Word is always "Yea and Amen" for His saints. Psalm 37:25: "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken"

I had few dreams like that in the past and usually the manifestation comes the next day or within couple of days. A short while ago I had another one of these clear warning dreams. A very wicked woman was saying something mean to me. I replied something (I don't remember what) and she reached for something. I was sure she was about to pull out a gun, but she got out a syringe and tried to throw it at me like a dart. I started moving around so she could not do it (a large table was separating the two of us). But she managed to spray whatever was in that syringe right into my face :-(

This was a clear warning to me. As soon as I got up I prayed Psalm 91 over myself, decreed that God's Angels are surrounding me and protecting me from any evil and that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Praise God, there was no manifestation or attacks on me following that dream!!
I don't think that when dreams like that warn us it means we would have to necessarily take it. We can pray that God protects us. I decree, in Jesus' Mighty Name, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper whatever it is. I cover you with Psalm 91 and decree that no one dares to "poop" on you or into your situation. Whatever their intentions are, I pray that God intervenes and diverts their actions. I pray that if anyone is digging a trap for you, they will fall in it themselves and will not cause you any harm or sorrow! In Jesus' Name! Amen!

On the other hand, if this is not a warning dream, it might also mean that someone just might "unload" whatever they might have "against" you in their heart (since pooping might mean unloading or cleaning out the system spiritually speaking :-) - These are just my thoughts of what it might mean, not a dream interpretation.

I also had an experience with a feather falling down. It was not in a church though. It also was not a dream or a vision. It actually happened. I am standing on God's promise for my daughetr's salvation. Last summer I was sitting in my car waiting to pick up my daughter after work. I was asking the Lord for a confirmation of His promise for my her salvation and right at that moment I looked out of my car's window (it was down) on the side where my daughter would sit and I saw a snow-white fluffy feather floating down from the sky. And immediately I thought of Psalm 91. I'll never forget it. This was such an awesome confirmation and encouragement for me!

Jasmine, you said "How do I love Him again?" Remember Jesus' Disciples Peter and John? When they had the last supper John was sitting with his head on Jesus' chest letting Jesus love him. John was boasting in Jesus' love for him. Peter, however, was boasting about his love for Jesus. Remember what happened after? Peter was the one who denied knowing Jesus 3 times before the morning. And wasn't it him who said "Even if they all fall away and are caused to stumble and distrust and desert You, yet I will not [do so]!" (Mark 14:29) What does this tell you? It shows how much our own striving is worth.
Jasmine, it's not about your love or my love for HIm. It's all about HIS Love for you! When you strive to give HIm, your love, you will always fall short, so will I or anyone else. Who out of men will ever be able to repay Him for what He has done for us? So stop striving, but relax and let His love flow through you and transform you.
I am NOT saying "stop loving Him". Not at all. All I am saying is do not base your closeness to God on YOUR love for Him, but on HIS Love for you.
"Because if it was just sitting around that does the job then everything would be different" - I would not put it that way "just sitting around" that does the job. It's absence of your striving, your self-efforts, but allowing Jesus to do the job that makes the difference. He is going to do it better than you or me anyway :-). Amen?
It might take a while to take all this in. I myself am still learning. I understood the message of Grace with my head right away, but it took quite a while till it started to get into my heart and even longer to get myself stop acting based on the Law. I am still working on it. I am listening to the Gospel of Grace DAILY! Meditate on it. Ask God questions (I have so many!).
Every time a condemning thought comes, just say "Thank You, Jesus for paying for this sin instead of me, thank You for taking the punishment and consequence of this sin on Your Body so I don't have to! Thank You for giving me Your Gift of Righteousness and because of this I am FREE from the dominion of sin in my life!"

Thank you, guys, for praising God's Name and rejoicing with me. I am still amazed about He worked things out. After the test we were told by an academic councilor that the results would not be known until some time in May, but because of God's total awesomeness we know already and are enjoying the victory!

Jasmine, it looks like you have put yourself under the Law instead of living under God's Grace. I've learned the difference not that long ago and I can't even figure out how I've made it this far :-)
Under the Law we are striving to achieve "closeness" with God, holiness and righteousness by our own efforts. With other words we are trying to live righteous in order to "earn" God's approval. By doing so we are putting the horse behind the carriage.
The right order is we can live a holy life BECAUSE we were made righteous by Jesus' Blood when we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior. By the act of one (Adam) we were all made sinners and by the act of One we also were all made righteous. So there is nothing we can do out of our own efforts to be righteous, but only by accepting His (Jesus') Sacrifice on the Cross.
All this "spiritual" distress you are experiencing is from believing that you need to strive to be close with God by doing the "right things". God loves you the way you are and He does know you have homework to do, you need time to relax and all. You don't need to do a thing to prove yourself worthy to Him. He saved you when you were a sinner, so far away from Hm, and yet He loved you already.
Devil would love nothing more than rubbing your "faults" into your face, lying to you that because of doing such and such you are not worthy, you are a sinful person and God's mad at you.
Cut his power off by saying" I am the RIGHTEOUS of God because JESUS CHRIST has paid for all my sins. He paid for all my sins on the Cross and gave me His righteousness by GRACE! I already have it! Whom the Son made FREE is FREE INDEED!+ This is not a joke, He did not give us a conditional righteousness even so so many preachers are preaching this junk trying to "scare" people into stopping "sinning". I can talk about it forever but to make it short - any of the sin or any of the addictions dpo not have any power over you because of His Grace! Actually Grace is not a "thing", God IS Grace! So you can't just "lose" it by doing or not doing things. Every time temptation comes to submit to addition, just say "I am God's righteous. By His Grace I AM FREE from this addiction, in Jesus' Name!"
These lies are so dangerous. For years I believed that I had to strive and improve myself to be good enough to receive from God and I simply could not because no matter what I did I just could not get to be good enough. I could not get healing because the devil would tell me I had sin on me and that disqualified me from receiving healing. But now, that I stand on the rock of Grace, he simply can't shake me off it :-) Halleluiah!
Stop beating yourself up and relax and enjoy your closeness with God Who will NEVER EVER leave you! It's not us who chose to be with Him to begin with. It's HIM Who chose to be with us and this will NEVER change! Isn't God AWESOME!

I just wanted to give God all the praise and all the Glory for being so faithful! My daughter was applying to college for "professional writer" program and she had to pass a difficult test which she had on Feb 21st. We were not sure if she scored high enough as difficulty level was high. But I did pray and believe the Lord that she will be accepted regardless and today the letter of acceptance came and God's Grace was manifested! She got accepted!! Halleluiah!! Praise God! Stand on His Grace and He will never fail you!

Let me tell you I know exactly how you feel. I went though this with my parents when I was about your age. When there is no peace in the family it's one of the most awful things that can happen to us. My parents turned from being a loving couple that never said a rude word to each other =for many many years to two people who kept fighting and arguing constantly. They stopped "understanding" each other. My dad too kept running out and when he threatened with divorce once more I thought "I don't care. Let them divorce as long as this horrible arguing will stop". In the end they did not divorce and are living together still.
But let me encourage you not to feel desperate or take any responsibility for their actions. Like you said, it takes two to make it work and it takes two to argue. I feel like your dad did not abandon his family, he just got out of the situation that he simply could not handle. It might seem like adults can handle anything if they try, but in reality there are so many situations that are way above our heads and the only thing that can help us is from God alone. So please don't blame your dad or your mom (and most important yourself) for whatever has happened.
Even though the situation with your mom and dad seems like out of control, but trust me, even though we don't see, feel or understand it God IS in control and He IS keeping His Hand right on it! I am telling this from my own experience! And this alone gave me huge inner peace and rest and also gave me strength to stand in faith for change.
What I would suggest to do is to daily speak God's peace and joy to flood into your home, your household, into your parents' hearts and minds. If it looks like a fight is about to break out, what I do is get into my prayer room by myself and start releasing the Angels of God to minister Peace into the situation, I pray for the Spirit of Peace and Spirit of Joy to come in, I pray for God's Grace to envelope everyone in my household and guess what - NO FIGHT or arguing happens (I do that in the situation with our kids, because they sometimes push us beyond limits :-)
For yourself to get rid of the pain caused to you I would strongly suggest to cry out to the Lord to simply take this pain away. I have done this and trust me, it WORKS every time. Just keep crying out to Him to take away this pain completely - to heal the wounds. I've done this numerous times and it never fails. I am not talking about days or weeks, I am talking hours. It's like one minute you feel like every cell in your body hurts like crazy and the next minute - it's GONE. All you feel is peace and no pain at all. The first time it happened I was stunned! I was like "What has just happened?! How is this even possible?!" Praise God! It does work. Just don't stop asking till it's gone. If these lying feelings of pain try to come back, just start crying out again. Praise God, they will leave! God is so awesome and He loves you so dearly, He adores you and both your parents. He will never leave you, He is with you through everything and as soon as we cry out to Him, He always responds. God is so awesome, I don't even have words to express.
Sorry this is long. I am praying for you and your family! I decree that no weapon formed against you or your household shall prosper, in Jesus' Name! I release the Angels of God to minister peace and restoration to your heart, mind and emotions as well as your mom and dad. Whatever the devil is trying to steal and destroy, I call redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, restored and made whole, in Jesus' Name! I pray for God's divine protection like a a wall of fire all around Abigail's family and a canopy of fire above them. I decree that God hides them under His wings and pinions and that they are safe and enjoying peace and loving family relationship, fully inaccessible to any evil, in Jesus' Name! I ask You, Lord to touh Jasmine righ now and let Your healing anointing flow throughout her entire body and restore it to complete wholeness - nothing missing and nothing broken, in Jesus' Name! I pray that all the issues come out to the light, I pray that You give the medical doctors and nurces the needed wisdom and knowledge to minister help for Jasmine. I declare, O Lord that we do not rely on the doctors for complete healing, but only on You, Father! I decree 1 Peter 2:24 over Jasmine right now and decree that by Jesus' Stripes she was healed. I command Jasmine's body to get in line with the Word of God and receive the healing that is flowing into her right from the Throne of the Living God, in Jesus' Name! I declare that NO WEAPON formed against Jasmine shall prosper, in Jesus' Name! I call her healed and healthy! In Jesus' Name! Amen and Amen!

Jasmine, no matter how bad it might look or feel right now, keep calling yourself healed and restored. The manifestation WILL come!

I am standing in agreement with you, in Jesus' Name, for your niece to get this hat (very cute one!!) replaced!

Just a thought, since you have such a clear picture of this hat, as a backup plan, you can find someone who is good at knitting and ask them to make one just like that. These hats are very popular and I imagine it won't be hard to find someone who can make a very good quality job.
When my step-son was little (5 or 6) I had to do a "switch" like that with his toy clown. He did not part with it day or night and wore it out so badly that I had to basically make a new one practically identical to the old one. He never noticed it was a different one (just that one day it was old and the next one it became new again :-) ) He was very happy! I had to do it about 6 times before he grew up enough to put it away :-)
