yes that would be great if that would be possible. I'm thinking of taking 2-3 weeks off - that should allow me to spend 3 days with each of you and give some time for travelling in between. Now I will be adding Savannah to my travel plan - not sure if you read back what Kijo said about the haunted walks etc. That sound like interesting thing to do and it will be another pin on my map

I'm getting so excited about this trip and worried at the same time. So much needs to be planned, discussed and worked out - so many things could possibly go wrong but so many things will be wonderful

Kijo - I would love for you to show me around! There is only one way to find out if I will like it. I'm not sure what you think I'm used to when it comes to art - I'm very open minded when it comes to lots of stuff and still trying to find my feet when it comes to what I like and what I don't. One of the reason I will be travelling to so many different places instead of getting people to fly to one place to see me is that I want to make most out of my time there - I want to see as much as I can because who know when/if I'll come back to US.

Oh that does sound interesting! That would be awesome thing to do! I think I will re-plan my travel so I can have a stop over in Savannah. I didn't plan that before because I though you said that there is nothing to see in Savannah. I have not given much though to when I would come to each place - only thinking that it would all happen in first 3 weeks of June as I know Mary got something at the end of June and the fairs are lower is my travelling happens before 29 June (at least for the flights in and out of country). Of course I will try to plan everything to make it as easy on you guys as I can - I don't want to mess up with your lives too much. I am very grateful for the generous offers from you to put me up and show me around. I have a cat back home - he is short hair siamese. He's over 15 years old now but in very good shape, still all his teeth apart from 1 but he's got some kidney problems so need to be fed special food most of the time. and yes he's also brat - my sister has to deal with him

Chicago to Savannah - 22 hours with one change

I think there was 15 minutes break in Savannah. Did you relief get to work on time yesterday and you weren't too late for your "appointment"? I would be coming from Chicago to Tanya's (or yours) - not sure if/how would that be doable but sounds interesting - no I don't mind spending a night in your apartment. It can't be worse than my room - I have a double bed and just enough room to get around it but not much else (as one UK saying goes - there is not enough room to swing a cat ) Speaking of cats - yours is absolutely georgeous!

Greyhound coach trip from LA to Seattle on 6 June 2011 (random date picked) advance fare price $83 travel time (the shortest one with 1 transfer) 1 day 1 hour 45 minutes

Hope everyone is doing well Mindy the only think I can think of right now (no I have not done any research yet) is a) the Hollywood sign b) Universal Studios (but I'm guessing that will be quite pricey) someone told me that if I'm going to be in LA that I will have to take a trip to Las Vegas but I'm not sure about that Mindy I promise I will read up on LA soon - I'm planning to stay about 3 days so we'll see what we can fit in. As this is your home town and you've been everywhere at least 3 times what would you recommend as MUST SEE?

I have done 23 hours on coach (of course it's with lots and lots of stops). As for the hotel - you never know as she was quoting me flight from Jacksonville to London via Washington DC so I was toying with the idea (if they would let me) to have a day stopover there. Yes I wanted to come to US for years and now I finally pluck up the courage. I guess the idea of visiting lots of lovely friends helped me to make that decision It won't be cheap but it will be worth it and yes you said I deserve it so I gladly suffer through months of beans on toast (not it won't be that bad and I will have to start some serious saving up)

it's still very early days. I can't get prices from travel agent yet - they told me to come back in August to get correct prices as the quote she gave me was just estimate based on this year prices. It's the internal flights that bumped the price up. Not sure if/how long it would take to travel from Seattle to Ohio by coach LOL. LA to Seattle on coach is 23 hours (the girl in travel agent done it herself so she told me). Yes it would be lovely if Tan goes to Europe - so many wonderful cities to see

thanks for that Kijo - I will check it later I have started to plan my trip now - it's going to be begining of June as I wanted to go in July but the prices go up from 29 June as that's the begining of peak season.

No I didn't see you pics yet but I saw the ones Frannie has posted. Well you read the thing about that bat Yeah peace and quiet is good but not all the time - honestly I spend more time in that house than she does and she owns it! I will have to text her as she was not back last night. She's gone to some festival - left thursday morning. Not even a text from her - not that she has to but last time she went away for a long weekend she gave me heads up I have not played any lottery in ages - no luck in games or love for me right now
