lol i know what you mean... we shared a room till I was 18 and then we moved to a bigger house and then i left for university... but its fun, I must say to share room (hey how else would you have pillow fights in the middle of the night hahaha)

We were actually quite good girls when we had sleepovers, I remember we wanted to surprise my sister once and we decorated her bed... it was filled with confetti... And she ended up vacuuming it We thought it was a blast, but my sister felt otherwise.

I too had to take statistics and then research methods too cos in psychology you have to understand where the research is coming from

Actually the one thing I still do here and there is buy boxes... I don't know why but I love to open them! so I think I have some of the mystery items!

As for the news, I like to catch up on heatlh/technology/sciences etc... I just hate to hear about all the stupid and horrible things that we do to each other so I avoid the news. I am now so happy that I discovered PODCASTS so i download them on Itunes and listen to them on my iPod (i think you can listen to them on any mp3 player). I download Psychology and Science and Technology podcasts that tell me the newest research findings in a minute (from Scientific Mind)... I also get book reviews and general talk shows (usually interviews with authors/musicians/artists) from the radio station I used to love in the States (NPR)... I am addicted!!! Its all I listen to in the car!!

Hi and sorry to step in, i'm new here

I too have bouts of insomnia although for me I know exactly where it comes from.

One of the things that can help quiet your mind and help you relax in general are various relaxation/breathing exercises. Believe me, they really help calm you down. When you are stressed your body starts to react and your mind starts to race. So you need to find a way to stop your mind and relax your body....

Here are some websites that explain how to do this. oh i just realized we can't post websites here so you can do a google search for 'progressive relaxation' or 'deep breathing relaxation techniques'. If you download things from the internet you could also do a torrent search for 'paul mckenna' and 'deep relaxation'- you can put this on at night to listen to, but it will also help more than you can imagine in general.
