She had to go back to Grandma's and she was desperate to escape. The airline said all that they would offer was a refund (which would take a couple of weeks to go back on her card) or, to get her on the next flight (tomorrow morning) She was delayed by several hours on her way out there and today was at the airport for hours, waiting in departures - and it turned out that the aircraft had never even left London. There was some fog, but other planes have both departed and landed, before/during and after her departure time. Perhaps this airline's not got the right equipment/enough planes/funding??? The trouble is, there's not much competition at all on that route, I think only 3 airlines go there and BA isn't one of them either. I'm putting the kettle on!!! Did not know anything about this!!! What a nightmare for her where is she stranded? whats the airline? Kettle on that sounds like Horlicks time to me
