OK Army, and trying to explain to someone that it's not grammatically correct to keep swapping between plural and singular when referring to a group of companies, and educating them in the use of the apostrophe

No, it's a new flavour I'm trying but I'm not that fond of. "Fairly Nuts" from Ben & Jerry. Caramel and almonds. I tastes like sugar with more sugar.

In real life. Just had a nice shower, and am pampering my feet prior to a day out in London tomorrow - the socks feel lovely. I've got some sheepskin slippers on too, so the heat will help the foot balm.

Hopefully the nail polish will dry quickly, so I wont muck up the manicure

i can finally get more meds today cause of payday, so hoping by the end of the weekend will be back to "normal" for me. lots of weekend plans as well.

Hope you do feel better quickly. Over here if you need medication all the time, you can purchase a Season Ticket, where you just pay one fee per year, and you get all your prescriptions free at point of purchase, having paid up front - it saves people a lot of money. Of course, that's under the National Health Service.

R and I have been married 30 years on Monday, so we're going out for lunch tomorrow to celebrate, and meeting the girls later (we're up to London) maybe a bit of shopping.

We had hoped for a weekend away, but it hasn't worked out that way.

yeah i have to get meds every month, and it racks up quite a bit... my Plaqenil alone is $80.00 a bottle..... and with the car and all..... yesh.

but i should be pretty caught up after Tuesday. : D

Under the NHS here, you pay

* £7.20 for a prescription, each item
* £104 for a 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC), and
* £28.25 for a three-month PPC.

wow cheap./.... luckily I can get most of my prescrips generic. which means $4 bucks each.
only 2 I have to really cash in for.

so anywhere from 100-150 on meds each month...... not counting Dr's bills and what not...


i need a medical plan or soemthing....

So a whole year's costs would be covered in 7-10 weeks here. You don't have to pay to visit doctors or hospitals either if you go NHS - it's paid for in a tax from income called National Insurance Contributions - calculated according to how much you earn.
Unless you pay medical insurance and choose to go privately.

I have one hand done - needs another coat yet, and I have to dry my hair yet.

Eek, on the news - in Spain, a man has had a full face transplant (the whole face except his eyes and tongue) It's taken a team of 30 surgeons and medical staff over a 24 hour period.

The man's a farmer who accidentally blew his face apart in a gun accident 5 years ago!

Just listening to a man on the radio who had a bad accident 40 years ago, which disfigured his face badly (overturned a landrover and it blew up)

It's amazing, but also a little freaky.

Just read that this man has already had 9 previous operations to try and rebuild a face for him.
Also that the op was about a month ago, is progressing well and that he's seen himself and is satisfied with what's happening.

I'm in awe really.

the newspapers also said that they have 4 people here in Britain waiting for suitable donor for facial surgery.

When I read about that lady in France that had partial face transplat I thought it was amazing - giving her chance to have a normal life again.
