Recommended Posts

well.... I AM old, you know.. so that part doesn't hurt. and feel much older with this lame leg again. I just wish I could see the series it came fom. Watched a really good BBC program with my cousin last week. And am so old I forgot the name of it. Was a two parter.. where a Jamaican couple rented an apartment from a single white woman, who "thought" she was widowed in the war..

My sister is still with me and i am teaching her how to make stuffed bears she is doing really well, i am so proud of her as she is not one that does crafts and doesn't stick to one thing for long lol we are making a 2 foot bear now and she wants to get it done before her husband comes home , other than that there is nothing else interesting going on with me lol

I think I was just getting too over confident because the knees felt so great. I can't believe I made it through the entire icy winter without falling and then go do something as klutzy as falling off a stoop.. sheeeesh

Sorry Frannie, doesn't mean anything to me.

Allo Allo was very funny, especially the English spy posing as a French policeman, who had such an bad accent that he said things
which had double meanings they way he said them...very funny.

I envy you your close family Army, and your nice relaxed summers - seems no time since you were at the cabin last. I wish you could keep in touch while you were there, how cool would that be?

Kitty has a corsage that hasn't grown AT ALL - apparently there's a glitch (shock news eh?)

Oooh I hear NY police have arrested a US citizen who was born in Pakistan, in connection with the Times Square car bomb?

If I didn't need a land line for mark's heart equipment, I would go with that Magic Jack. He can call any one in the world.. for $19.95 a YEAR!!! But instead the best I can do is any one in Canada, US, Mexico, Puerto Rico or Guam for $19.95/month. Too bad I don't know anyone in Guam, Mexico or Puerto Rico LOL

yes.. they found some guy.. Pakistani born but naturalized US in 2003 (I think). Pulled him off a plane. He had a gun in his car, parked, with extra ammo clips. They got him because he called to book a flight, last minute, one way and paid cash. All ed flags, I guess

ONLY if no other girl pets need it Frannie.

Usually Kitty just wears one of the TWS donated and then they go back in the Registry.

That's not to say she doesn't accessorise , but that's my province, not OH's

He says Hi to everyone btw - he's cooking right now.

Thanks so much Frannie

IMOM is a fabulous cook, but then he's in the food business. I taught him to cook, and still retain the position of Exec Chef rofl!

Both of us do all the chores in equal measure, no blue jobs or pink jobs in this home.

That said I also need to go attend to some stuff here, so byeee Army, Franny and BG - later xxx

Good morning everyone - another day of excercise for me.

Day 3 of broken intercom - keeps me fit because I have to keep waking up and down the stair to let clients in once they phone to let me know they are outside.

I have asked our office manager if anyone called the landlord to report it (it started on friday) but he's not sure (and obviously he didn't himself).

Morning Bee - sounds like an efficient Office Manager you have there lol - who else would do it if they didn't?

no-one.

I have just spoken to people from office bellow and they didn't call it in as the lady who normally deals with it is on holidays. No-one in the office above us yet.

Office manager said that (the only one in right now) partner/boss told him to tell the other one (once he arrives to work at about 11pm) to e-mail the complain in - this way is not going to be sorted today - but I can't call the landlord as I'm too low in chain of command, I'm only the one who has to suffer the consequences of it.

GOOD NEWS
I now have working shower. Had plumber in yesterday so I had to move all my stuff out of my room (luckily my housemate is in Australia so I slept in her room). There were suppose to be laying new pipes under the floor in my room but at the end they ended up running a pipe at the back of my wardrobe so he (my housemate's ex and co-owner of the house) had to take out all my stuff out of the wardrobe. He put it back but it's all over the place and no where near the way I had it so I will have to re-organise it again over next few days - I was too busy moping floors and moving my furniture back last night to do anything else.

BUT I had lovely hot shower this morning and could wash my hair without going to Mr B's - it came at right time as he's having a mate moving to a spare bedroom so that would make things more difficult for me there.

What's on program for you today Zoonie?

Sorry I got involved in a complicated phone call

Hi Army.

I'm dreading the disruption of the next few weeks to be honest. The decorator starts on Monday, and the bathroom isn't finished yet. I emailed the supplier about the missing radiator part and the replacement wash basin and he said Oh I left you a phone message about 2 weeks ago, they're here.

1. I know for a fact he didn't leave a message and
2. If it'd been 2 weeks, why didn't he chase it up again?

Gaaaah.

Glad the shower's sorted Bee, despite the disruption you had.

I woke very early and had a cup of tea (before Mr F left for work) went back to sleep and slept heavily with the weirdest dream, so when I did get up, I felt absolutely awful Sad

Hi everyone/anyone

I've been up to the neck the past week or so with one thing and another and had to make choices re computer useage and I'm sorry to say but PS won. It just takes up so much time lately with the free gift sending, the clicking of the building gifts etc etc. Sheesh! Anyway I decided I only needed one of each of the totum and tepee, I don't trade so it's no point having loads sitting in my chest. Still helping those who need clicks though.

So I'm hoping all's well with the C&G crew and that my workload lessens pretty soon and I can come back and partake a little more regularly soon.

Love and hugs to every one who stops by today.

And Gill, the birds are really loud here too...especially at 4 AM!!!!

Hello Dawn

@Zoonie - what are you going to do once all the work is finished and no-more drama with suppliers amd workmen? Aren't you going to be bored?

Mr B sent his external hard drive for repairs. They said it will take up to 9 working days as it will have to be sent to France to original factory. The they send him e-mail saying work has been completed and he will get another e-mail soon letting him know that it's back on it's way to him.

On Friday I was walking the dog for him as he went out after work and I was free (at home alone on friday night - shocking I know!) and there was a card from DHL saying they tried to deliver something. He said he didn't order/buy anything so it must have been the manufacturer or the supplier returning the hard drive but no e-mail to let him know that he should be expecting it.

Too true, but don't know about you, here, it's very really really light most mornings, even if it's a dull day - and light early too.

I'm fed up with PS - they just keep introducing more and more that you have to click for. Like you I only got one totem and one tepee.
I just click like on someone's post and help if I see they need it. But now, if you accept those free gifts of the day, you click yes on your FB page, then click again when each person's gift shoes (either to go back to accept more, or to load the game) and now the game asks you AGAIN if you want to accept it (didn't I just do that on the FB page? Mad and THEN you have to open it again. Or is it the Hideeni one you have to double accept? either way, it's an awful blooming lot of clicking - leaving very little time to visit and decorate *mad*

Well, the bathroom has to be finished and then the decorators will be here for about 3 weeks, and then - eeek, the carpet fitters - am really dreading that.

When all that's done, we'll still have 5 rooms downstairs that haven't been decorated and 6 rooms upstairs - I think I shall just have to close the door on them and forget about them, my strength's deserting me now.

OOps meant to sympathise with Mr B, so annoying when they do that.
Or, when you get a card saying you were out when they tried to deliver, and you know you were home.

but the worse thing is that DHL only deliver during office hours and their depot is quite far from where we live.

He tried to call the number they gave him to try to have it delivered to work but you get automated message only. They will have your parcel/item for 7 days then return it to sender - so very unhelpful.

Can he get an email through to DHL?

Postmen aren't allowed to do that anymore, and it's harder now they have those electronic receipts.

Am listening to Gordon Brown taking questions on the Radio, my god I want to get hold of that man's shoulders and give him a severe shaking! Mad

our postman here at work don't bother with signatures at all - all goes in the same bag that is left downstairs in the lobby - recorded or regular mail.

I told Mr B to go onto DHL website and look for customer services number to speak to someone - dunno wether he did or no.

Politics goes past me - I'm not allowed to vote for parliament in this country so I don't bother paying attention (I know it's not right but why should I if my opinion won't make any difference?). One more day and it will be over for some time. I take it you won't be voting Labour then (you don't have to say)

personally I think Gordon Brown needs bit more than that - it will involve one's shoe and his backside
