I was so busy with midterms and grandma has been in the hospital for the past two weeks so I've been really distracted. Things are settling down a bit so I hope to check back in here more often. I'm also so behind in PS, I log in to get my daily money (and mexican treats) but that's about it.

Sneeking back in to tell you my error re the pinata....more than a little embarrased I can tell you.

OK so I bought it and expected it to act in the same way as the others (food and candy) it would give you the gift *daily* rofl at me and my mistakes....

So I go back to PS, clicked it, Sparkle picked it up and low and behold, there's a gift inside it (yard heater type thing). So searched my chest for the pinata to get the rest of the gifts (this is where it gets embarrasing) it's not there.

Went back to the shops to discover that it says....there are 5 to collect! Not that ONE pinata will give FIVE gifts

What am I like???

So I take it back, but I don't think I need the others so will make do with the heater type thingy. LOL

It is a mess, not least because a lot of people were turned away from polling stations, which close at 10pm.

Apparently if they haven't issued you with a polling slip by 10pm, you don't get to vote, no matter what time you arrived at the Polling Station.
If you're in possession of the slip, you can still vote, even if you still have to queue beyond 10pm.

Stupid.

Stafford have a new MP! We went blue over night, not sure it's good news even though I'm a blue b/c David Kidney (labour) was a great rep for our little town.

hmmm.. our polls close at 7 PM.. a lot of folk don't even make it home from work by then. Of course, we're allowed absentee voting weeks ahead. so that's the easiest way to go, in my opinion

I think there was a bigger turn out also wasn't there Gill, unexpected from other years and it seems in some towns not enough stations available.

always makes me wonder if I'm getting Alzheimers. I worry about it because my Mom had it. Then again, I'm so disorganized on a regular basis I shouldn't worry.. and this WAS a messed up week. I now have a lovely bruising going on all along the implant on the left knee.. but no pain thee, thank God

That's the issue isn't it. I wanted to vote for who I thought would be the best MP, but voted tactically instead - mattered not, MP has a really big majority anyhow.

We do postal voting, although the polls open at 7am Frannie, so there's 15 hours to turn up there.

I think it was a bigger turn out but still under 70% in the two constituencies I checked (ours and ED's)
