Bee1 0 Posted July 3, 2010 I have taken a plunge and went to screening of Eclipse last night (or should I say early this morning). It was screening at 00.01 on Saturday 3 July 2010.Don't worry I'm not going to talk about the movie itself so I won't spoil it for anyone. I want to share the experince in the cinema. The movie was shownat 3 screens and one of them was sold out by 9pm. The screen I went to was abou 1/3 full. I have to say I was bit worried about what the experince is going to be like - opting for midning screening wanting to avoid screeming teenagers but before the film and during trailes there was lots of talking. Lots of people who were there with me just finished in pubs/clubs.Then the place went pitch black! The movie has started and the whole place went silent. It was amazing like we were all connected, all on the same wavelenght - no-one spoke during the film, we all laughed at same places, all gaspded at the same times and the most amazing thing happend at the very end of the movie - people stated to clap. I was sitting there during the credits and I had tears in my eyes. The the spell was broken as people got up and left and we all went our separate ways. I had to take the night bus home as it ended at 2.20 am (the bus takes about 75minutes) but it was so worth it. I would like to hear your experience, read about the people who were with you - their reaction. Did your local cinema do something special? But please remember - don't talk about the movie itself. There are lots of people who did not see it yet so don't ruin it for them.Thank you

smorkle 0 Posted July 3, 2010 what a great experience bee!! i haven't seen it yet either. i have plans to watch the 10am show this coming thursday on imax. i can't wait to see it.so far the reactions from people who have seen it (all except 1) have been positive. the 1 person that wanted his "2 hours back" is my friend's husband who always makes fun of twilight anyway so i'm not sure why he went to see it with her.anyway, i can't wait! Toulouse 0 Posted July 6, 2010 I might have mentioned I went to Twilight Night? It's like a huge event where they showed the first two Twilight movies and then at 00:01 Eclipse. Everyone was enjoying the first two, but it wasn't too silent then. But when the lights went back out at midnight and Eclipse came on, everyone became silent, and as with you, no one spoke and everyone laughed at the same time. Also, in the end, a big applause followed. always gives me goosebumps :-)
Bee1 0 Posted July 6, 2010 you've seen all 3 movies back to back? WOW! Glad you had nice experience.
Toulouse 0 Posted July 6, 2010 Hehehe, yes I did, and even though it was long, it was a very nice experience!I am guessing that at the next Twilight night, I won't be going... I mean... only if they plan to run all the movies, because then I would see 4 movies and I would be in the cinema for at least 8 hours!
smorkle 0 Posted July 7, 2010 yeah, 8 hours is a long time.i've been watching the movies at home instead of the theatre to prepare for eclipse. hee hee.just a couple more days for me to wait!!! i'm so excited! i can't wait!!!! ahhhH!!
smorkle 0 Posted July 9, 2010 FINALLY saw eclipse today! it was the best out of all 3 by far!my theatre was so empty! there were only about 30 of us in there (probably cuz i watched it on a thursday at 10am) and i watched it on a 100 foot imax so i felt really tiny. it was great to see edward as a giant on the screen. i had a grin on my face the whole time and when it ended, we all clapped and jumped up and down in our seats like silly teenagers! ba ha ha LOL!!! lea75 0 Posted July 13, 2010 well..................I did enjoy the film, but I think I spoilt it a little for myself by re-reading eclipse right before I saw it Obviously there is so much information in the book that hey have to chop bits and alter things, but I felt the beggining was very disorientating as they had to pack so much in, and it flitted from one scene to another so quicklyAll in all though still loved the film, was brilliant to see more of the balance of Edward and Jacob, as to me Twilight was Edward and New moon more Jacob. Not going to say too much more as I would hate to spoil anything for those who havent seen it Will deffinately be pre-ordering it as soon as the DVD is released to watch over and over again
