Lost two massive fish this winter. A grass carp and something else, my lad knows what it is. The ice is still nearly 2 inches thick so can't get them out. all the frogs I thought were dead seem to have thawed out Smile

so what do i do with 11 dead fish scratch
well they wont be gone off, bin them or take them some where in the countryside and throw them under a hedge for the wild life to eat will be a treat for them , dont do it at home though you will have things coming to visit the pond thumbs

well that's really bad news, i had a similar disaster in the summer when the filter was turned off for about 10 days. lost all but 5 fish in my pond and some were really big koi that i'de had for 20 years. it was all down to lack of oxygen as the pond was quite heavily stocked. i'm now re building it and am looking forwards to choosing some new fish in the spring Smile it's still been very sad tho!
